Backstreet Boys "Millinium" album for $14.99. Yep...

I think the next time I actually bought a casette/CD with my own money it was A Perfect Circle's "Mer de Noms" and "Thirteenth Step". Lol pretty big jump!

One of my older sisters' boyfriend was a huge fan of the Temptations and the Isley Brothers and he would play their music all the time whenever he came over. Therefore, my first album purchase were actually two and it was the Temptations "A Song For You" and the Isley Brothers "Go For Your Guns". I even purchased these albums on CD format later in years as well.

I believe the first album I actually bought with my own money was the self titled album by Korn.

The Sufferer and the Witness by Rise Against. It was the first album I ever bought, and while I've moved into some heavier stuff and different genres; the album kind of cemented my love for rock music

    that explains a lot doesn't it? :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:
However the first album I purchased with my own money was RAM by Paul McCartney and Linda McCartney, aka the best McCartney album (IN MY OPINION).

From what I can recall, the first album (CD) I ever bought for myself was AFI Sing the Sorrow. Back in middle school, I was really into them. But the first album I bought on my own that really impacted my music choices into my late teens and adulthood was Sia Some People Have Real Problems. That album opened a floodgate for me when it came to discovering music that made me feel a certain way, or that I could relate to...it helped me through some tough times in my youth. That was back when I was 17.

Actually, mine might have been Fallen by Evanescence as well. But shortly after, it was AFI.

CD= Selena Gomez and The Scene - When the Sun Goes Down :roflmao:. The first album I really bought without anyone else in my school or family influencing my tastes was Ultraviolence by Lana Del Rey. That album is still a classic and it's in a special place in my heart(*hug*).

Digital= Loud - Rihanna, an album full of slayage.

Vinyl= New: Born to Die - Lana Del Rey. Used: Some weird 60's compilation.
