The recent poll on political identity pissed me off, and I know a number of others didn't answer it, or couldn't do so truthfully, so I'm posting another, which I hope will be less, uh, american and restrictive. The scale I'm using is based on the political compass test that has been seen before on this forum. I'm not asking you to actually take the test, as I assume you already know what your opinions are, but you can if you want. Just study the graph below, and place yourselves in one of the areas set out in the poll. Please note that in this case, libertarian is used in its classical sense, of social libertarian, or anarchist. Obviously the poll can't perfectly represent everyone's views, but I'm hoping it is, at least, satisfactory.
there are sosososo many problems with the political compass test. the first being libertarian socialism isn't the only type of anarchism, fascism isn't the only type of authoritarian/totalitarianism (and it isn't the middle on that spectrum)
As I said, I'm not asking you to take the test. I'm just using the picture as a description, as I think it's the most representative poll I can get into less than 20 options.
Yay, a political poll I can actually answer . I consider myself in-between 12 and 15, so I went ahead and chose 12. Equal-opportunity anarchist.
Politics are confusing, wasn't sure where to click so i chose the last option. Oh, here... i did a "test", which is somewhat *thread* related, i guess... http://i.imgur.com/QQ4WFoC.png
I do believe there was something in that range last time. ---------- Post added 11th Nov 2014 at 04:56 PM ---------- Oh, look. Timo joined us
I was thinking of being a troll and saying I was a 6, but I'm a borderline communist in all honesty. I'd say that I'm either a 3 or 9.
I'm an 11. Only barely though. I retook the political compass test, as my views have changed over time. I used to get (-9, -8), and now I'm starting to get (-7.5, -7.28). One of my life goals is to kill a 6. I think that would be really fun.
