Got to be North Korea, right? I have to say I laughed at the part "No Smoking, Drinking or Homosexuality". The way It's worded
No , it's ROK. Koreans are extremely closed, conservative and intractable culturally . There would be no Christian schools in the DPRK( Christian, that's funny man ). While most Koreans are Buddhists . There is a significant minority that identifies as Christian (R C or Presbyterian occupying the main slots). Even these western identified denominations of Christian churches reflects the attitudes and cultural norms of their respective parishioners. The Buddhism of Korea , while practiced in china and other places as well , does not reflect any "live and let live "western" notion of Buddhism. If the university identified as Buddhist, they'd have the same exclusions for homosexuals, at least in Korea .
Brothers and sisters whyyyyyyy Jesus didn't make requirements for His sermons, He just wanted us to come together in repentance and love! How hard some make it for others to live good lives and know the Lord in truth. Whyyyyyyyyyyyy
Didn't quite understand this question - Is there a cure for HIV/AIDS that I wasn't aware of and how would having HIV/AIDS affect your ability to do the job? Hell what's stopping you from lying about being gay in order to get the job? It's not like there's a proper test you can do to check. It's that stupid I'm half expecting the advert to be an elaborate troll.
Koreans are one of the most conservative East Asians ever. Although they're mostly irreligious, they're strongly influenced by Christianity (source from Korean friends), which also includes patriarchy. I'm really not at all surprised.
i thought patriarchy exist in east asian countries before western christianity comes over. if anything, christianity may have just added ideology to the conservative asians...
Now they know good and well that Jesus would not be ok with this !! :tantrum: Come on Christians it's love your fellow man not hate your fellow man, so much that you prevent him from getting a job because you don't like him for who he is . God Christians need to stop trying to tell people what to do , their doing a terrible job as Christians .
I'm not surprised at all. Korea is extremely conservative (They censor people smoking cigarettes on TV for crying out loud!) And I've heard one too many people say derogatory things about gay people. Fortunately, things are changing and they're starting to be a bit more open minded but Korea is still many years behind in gay rights compared to countries in the west.
