Never in my life have I heard of this.

 

I suspect that those stereotypes grew from the 'straight' agenda of the '70's and '80's. I used to hear that lesbians were all bulky muscular women with mullets who wear a lot of flannel and bi women were just curious about women but actually straight back when I was a kid but I think that both of those stereotypes are dying out nowadays

 

Oh I've heard it and think its ridiculous! I don't care if this comes across cocky but I am an attractive/hot lesbian who has NO trouble getting attention! Especially from males (which sucks) that stereotype is so pathetic.

 

I've heard it, I think it comes from the fact that lesbians are 'butch/manly' and bi women are 'feminine and down with threesomes' stereotypes. It's BS.

 

I'm pretty sure porn has played some part in this.

 

I've heard something along those lines Stocking, i figure it comes from guys knowing they don't have a chance with lesbians, hence sour grapes, and thinking they have a chance with Bi women, and maybe thinking they're the ones who can "straighten them out". pretty much stupid all around.

 

I've heard both of those stereotypes before, just not strung together. I think the reason for the lesbians are ugly thing is because there are more butch lesbians than butch straight women. Personally I really like butch women. Honestly I think there would be a lot of butch straight women if our society would let them. They think if they can't be "pretty" they won't get a date.

As far as the bisexuals are hot, that's probably because so many men have lesbian fantasies, just not with actual lesbians in them. In their fantasies it's always just a phase or experimenting so they can have sex with them too. Also as others have pointed out there is some sort of bizarre idea that bisexuals love threesomes so we can have sex with both (binary) genders simultaneously.

 

Hmm. I haven't really met any straight butch women, or at least if I did I didn't know them long enough to find out their orientation. Also every time you mention something your mother did she sounds worse and worse.

 

Yeah I have heard this stereotype. I've met many lesbians I have considered pretty and very attractive. And I have met bi women who I have considered not very attractive to me. I personally go for more fem women and men. But lesbians can be fem AND there is nothing wrong with being butch. Whatever you are into. I really hate stereotypes, as I have said many times. Just dumb.

The only stereotype about beauty and lesbians that I've heard of is that lesbians are hot. Beauty stereotypes are awful. There will be beauty in every group of people.

 

No, I have not heard about that stereotype, but that's very insidious and unfair.
