Los Lonely Boys [self-titled] is a flawless gem. The only other one I can think of where I loved every song on it, excluding Greatest Hits compilations, is Jimmy Buffett's Barometer Soup. Hootie and the Blowfish come very close with Cracked Rear View, but they're just "really good" as opposed to great, and idk about the last song on there lol.
Bob Dylan-Blonde on Blonde David Bowie-Hunky Dory Rolling Stones-Exile on Main Street Rolling Stones-Let it Bleed Rolling Stones-Sticky Fingers Rolling Stones-Beggar's Banquet Rolling Stones-Tattoo You Talking Heads-Remain in Light Brian Eno-Here Come the Warm Jets Brian Eno-Taking Tiger Mountain by Strategy Pink Floyd-Wish You were here Nick Drake-Five Laves Left Nick Drake-Pink Moon Belle & Sebastian-If You're Feeling Sinister Morphine-Cure for Pain Iggy and the Stooges-Funhouse Butthole Surfers-Locust Abortion Technician Joy Division-Unknown Pleasures New Order-Power, Corruption and Lies Dead Kennedys-Fresh Fruit for Rotting Vegetables Velvet Underground-Another VU Lou Reed-Transformer Joni Mitchell-Blue Tom Waits - Swordfishtrombones ...and there must be more, but these come to mind, at this hour of the night. I forgot to list any Jazz, that would be a whole other list, as well as early R&B/Soul.
Oh boy. Joy Division - Closer / Unknown Pleasures My Bloody Valentine - Loveless Neutral Milk Hotel - In The Aeroplane Over The Sea Talk Talk - Laughing Stock David Bowie - Low / Hunky Dory The Smiths - The Queen Is Dead Leonard Cohen - Songs of Love and Hate / Songs of Leonard Cohen Pink Floyd - The Wall Pixies - Surfer Rosa Bjork - Post Velvet Underground - VU / [White Light / White Heat] Television - Marquee Moon Talking Heads - Remain in Light Brian Eno - Another Green World / Here Come the Warm Jets Swans - Soundtracks for the Blind / To Be Kind The Clash - London Calling / debut The Durutti Column - LC Minutemen - Double Nickles on the Dime Tom Waits - Rain Dogs Interpol - Turn on the Bright Lights Morrissey - Your Arsenal Nick Drake - Pink Moon Sigur Ros - Ágætis byrjun etc etc

My problem is my music collection doesn't have many full albums, I mostly just take individual songs I like! But some of the albums I have actually listened to in full and love are: Ayreon - 01011001 Keane - Under The Iron Sea King Crimson - In the Court of the Crimson King Anglagard - Viljans Oga The Cranberries - No Need To Argue Special mentions go to King Crimson - Red and White Ladder - David Gray because I don't feel they're as consistently amazing but their best songs really are amazing.

I love this thread. Here's my list of what I think are a well deserved top 10 album: D'Angelo - Voodoo , This is one of a smooth album and if you're into slow jam r&b and hiphop, this is for you. It's a shame that after this album release he has been into a lot of arrests and completely stepped out of the music industry Lauryn Hill - The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill,I think this proved how Lauryn can really sing and write her own songs after her disband from the Fugees. It won a lot of grammy nominations and it's no wonder why. Sadly Lauryn Hill took similar paths with D'Angelo and was even sent to jail for not paying her taxes. Portishead - Dummy, I think this band really helped elevate the popularity of Triphop during its time. It was a very underrated genre during the 90's and Beth Gibbons' cabaretish voice is a highlight in this album. Bjork- Vespertine, I could pick any Bjork album I like but this one is my personal favourite. Sure it didn't have much electronic beat to it but that's what Bjork is heading for. She claims it as something more introverted compared to her previous album and that's what makes me intrigued about it. It's more of a self-exploration. Pagan Poetry is easily my favourite song in this album. Bjork explores marriage, sex, love, etc. Fleetwood Mac - Rumours, it's an album that's mostly written about the band's rocky relationship with each other but for some reason the outcome of it turned out to be very cohesive. The song Dreams is one of the popular tracks in this album with the line "Thunder only happens when it's raining/Players only love you when they're playing is so damn catchy. Beach House - Bloom, this Dream Pop album is one of best thing that came out in 2012. Whilst it's not entirely different or "groundbreaking" compared to Teen Dream, I think Bloom's song lyrics are pretty different. Victoria Legrand's contralto vocal range and Scally are totally in sync which makes this album sound so effortless. It's smooth sailing as if you were at the top of the roller coaster but you get a sense of comfort. It makes you enjoy the ride without having to scream because you don't need to. I think that's how I can explain this album especially their song, On the Sea (which is also my personal favourite) Fiona Apple - The Idler Wheel is Wiser Than The Driver of The Screw and Whipping Cords Will Serve You More Than Ropes Will Ever Do , Fiona isn't new to making such a long ass album title (see When The Pawn..) and whether you find it pretentious or poetic, there's no denying how genius her songwriting skills are. When I first heard this album, I really HATED it. I have always been a Fiona Apple fan and I was really pumped to hear her new work after 7 long years of Hiatus. It took me a week to finally realise how this album is pure art with its very punching lyrics field with such raw emotion. This album is not something you would enjoy as a background music because I do think Fiona wants you to really listen closely to what she is trying to say. The song Valentine talks about an unrequited love with the lines "I'm a tulip in a cup/I stand no chance of growing up" (thus the inspiration of my username) , I'm amorous but out of reach", I made it to a dinner date/my teardrops seasoned every plate". I think this is Fiona's most experimental and at the same time her most minimal album which works very well IMO. I'll probably add more if I can think of more albums that I really like a lot.
Queen - Queen II Queen - A Night At The Opera Queen - Innuendo Queen - Made In Heaven Freddie Mercury & Montserrat Caballe - Barcelona Aerosmith - Toys in the Attic Sarah Brightman - La Luna Emilie Autumn - Laced/Unlaced Nightwish - Century Child Brian May - Back to the Light I really really love Queen so I might be a little biased here but I've restrained myself from putting in even more Queen. They were just so perfect in general.
Ooh wow, I like a lot of the lists but I could pretty much just copy this, well most of it. The Smiths - The Smiths Neil Young - After The Gold Rush Leonard Cohen - Songs Of Love And Hate The Modern Lovers - The Modern Lovers Galaxie 500 - On Fire The Strokes - Is This It Joy Division - Unknown Pleasures The Clash - The Clash Nick Drake - Pink Moon The Jesus And Mary Chain - Psychocandy The Stone Roses - The Stone Roses Patti Smith - Horses Tricky - Maxinquaye Love - Forever Changes The Kinks - Something Else By The Kinks The Zombies - Odessey and Oracle Notorious BIG - Ready to Die Kanye West - The College Dropout Wu Tang Clan - 36 Chambers GZA - Liquid Swords Nas - Illmatic Good Kid MAAD City - Kendrick Lamar Black Star - Mos Def & Talib Kweli Are Black Star Some which came to mind
Another addition: Laura Marling - Once I was an Eagle (my favourite break up album) Digable Planets - Blowout Comb St. Vincent - Actor Alanis Morrissette - Jagged Little Pill Death Grips - The Money Store (favourite experimental album) Jose Gonzalez - Veneer Albums I'm still trying to listen to and a potential favourite: Neutral Milk Hotel - In the Aeroplane Over the Sea John Fahey - The Dance of Death and Other Plantation Favourites Garbage - Version 2.0 Pj Harvey - Stories From the City, Stories From the Sea
I forgot these: The Sound of Madness by Shinedown Amaryllis by Shinedown The Best of INXS by INXS Horse Of A Different Color by Big & Rich Comin' To Your City by Big & Rich Between Raising Hell and Amazing Grace by Big & Rich Judge Jerrod and the Hung Jury by Jerrod Niemann So... Maybe I was raised on country music. And Big & Rich was the first band I ever saw live.
My favourites: Please Please Me by The Beatles Nevermind by Nirvana Ten by Pearl Jam Vitalogy by Pearl Jam Into the Wild Soundtrack- Eddie Vedder The End of History by Fionn Regan The Bunkhouse Vol 1 by Fionn Regan For the most part I only like a handful of songs by an artist, so favourite albums is a little difficult.
A bunch of awesome lists here. Mine in no particular order: Wish You Were Here - Pink Floyd There's a Riot Goin' On - Sly & the Family Stone Exile on Main St. - Rolling Stones A Love Supreme - John Coltrane Up on the Sun - Meat Puppets Remain in Light - Talking Heads In a Silent Way - Miles Davis Marquee Moon - Television Spirit of Eden - Talk Talk Stories from the City, Stories from the Sea - PJ Harvey Songs in the Key of Life - Stevie Wonder Animals - Pink Floyd Revolver - The Beatles w h o k i l l - tUnE-yArDs Station to Station - David Bowie Disintegration - The Cure Free Your Mind And Your Ass Will Follow - Funkadelic Loveless - My Bloody Valentine Pet Sounds - Beach Boys Filles de Kilimanjaro - Miles Davis
Got to say Sam Smith's In the Lonely Hour is pretty close at the moment. I was emotionally numb before I heard this album.
