So i have finally decided to invest in some tools to hopefully transform my boyish face into that of a lady, but I have little to no knowledge on makeup. So i would like some recommendations from you girls and boys on what i should get! Im not made of money, and my moneytree is still only a sprout so it should be somewhat affordable, and beginner friendly i guess?
While I'm still a mere novice, my suggestions are look at YouTube for advice. But my simple methods are : Liquid foundation or concealer. Apply until even. Lipstick. You just need to get good at applying it. Blush. Very very light on this. As far as eyeshadow and liner... I have no idea. Better ask Claudette or Monika.

Don't always be fooled by the price, there are some things NYC color does just as well as M.A.C.. concealer wise the best is from bare minerals. Of course make sure you match your skin tone with the liquid foundation. Use loose powder. Not compact powder. Your face shape will come into play. You should use dark eye shadow o, the sides of your nose and along your jaw line, below your cheek bones. This will give you face shape once you apply the liquid and powder. Apply the liquid foundation with your fingers, and pat it in everywhere, with the loose powder, use a big ol' brush, sweep it on everywhere then pat it everywhere with the brush. Now for your eyes. Your eye color, shape, and set come into play. You can google the best color for your eye color. If you have deep set eyes darker up top lighter on your eye lids. Reverse if your eyes aren't deep set. Get a eye shadow pencil for your eye brows, one that matches your natural eyebrow color. And give yourself some eye brows, don't forget the mascara. If you use fake eyelashes put mascara on before and after apply the fake eyelashes, this will help blend them, making them look natural
Lovely, just got an email from amazon, my stuff should arrive around the 30 may... tho i realise i didn't buy any mascara ,_,
Although I buy expensive make up, l do know some affordable good ones cover girl for one is pretty good and others every one else listed. What you need to start off is foundation, concealer, powder, just for starters. What l did when I first started using make up was practice putting them on before I went out till l got it right. Also I suggest watching YouTube videos on how to apply make up and do certain make up tricks, also in vest money in make up brushes sure your fingers or a sponge is good but it won't give you that flawless look .hope this helps. Also I think you should learn contouring , and pay great attention to eye makeup
Aye, Monika send me some good links the other day, and i bought some "starter kits" im pretty sure, it got most of what i need, had to buy eyeliner, foundation and ehem... Mascara seperate. ^_^
put on some makeup today again, and even though its only my secound time, im feeling more comfortable in it. it makes me feel like "me", just wanted to share.
My mother recently gave me some makeup, alot of it came from Mary Kay.. and I have to say I was surprised by the quality lol the face powder trumps anything else, You may want to check their catalog aswell
