    Negotiating with terrorists to free five terrorists that were on the high danger list for a solder who went AWOL (and who also indirectly caused the death of solders who tried to rescue him) is an epic failure. To top it off, the White House didn't notify Congress in advance that they were releasing POWs. Not much of a positive spin can be put on that shitty decision by Democrats.

    Republicans didn't need to create a scandal because Obama did a good enough job of creating his own problem, not to mention the GOP is favorited to take back the Senate, anyway.

    I'm sure the president will do what he does best though - apologize - which will make it all better.

    Damnit, I had ~5 hours of sleep again, and I don't even know where I am. It's like whenever I go to sleep I have the-let's have me some shit quality sleep because I don't get to wake up by myself-mindset. I made 5 typos writing this.

    I haven't been in a fight with an axe-wielding person. It's more difficult to interpret text than speech. People can tell when I'm acting or joking by my voice and behaviour. I often forget that doesn't convey well through the internet. So, don't feel bad about that!

    I can explain the backstory. A young guy chatted me up in ASDA. His usage of incorrect pronouns with talk of vaginas basically gave me narcissistic rage. I tried to explain that I'm a trans guy and I want him to leave me alone... he wouldn't listen. I thought about grabbing a toaster and bashing his brains in. He blew up when I mocked (not wise!) him back. I walked away while he was shouting dyke and stuff. I usually don't have anywhere this near much trouble there.

    No wonder I was so emotional! The song was arranged by Marty Haugen, who has written a lot of contemporary Catholic music, and I know many of those songs. Anyway, the movie was really good!

    2.) Today was a good day. I spent all of the afternoon outside (pulling weeds, mowing the yard, swimming, just relaxing, etc.) :slight_smile:

    I'm sorry, but I don't care if he deserted or not. It's UNAMERICAN to leave ANY American soldier to die in the hands of the enemy. Until there is an actual investigation into Sgt. Bergdahl's actions, it is simply heresy to call him a traitor. He was in bad shape, which is why the matter didn't need to be slowed down by a partisan divide in congress. We don't know if Bergdahl had another day to live, let alone thirty. Also, those five people we let go, you seriously don't think we don't already have cameras on their every move, or have Intel as to whether they were a threat or not?
