I was working on an art assignment for university and I found a picture of a naked mole rat and that has to be the creepy is looking creature I've ever seen so what animal freaks you out? and why? and some please me I'm right about the naked mole rat
- Waterbears (they're like what would happen if Tim Burton designed a clitoris alien). - Ostrichs. Dinosaurs with anger management issues. - Chickens/Roosters. This is kinda a childhood thing. Nervous around them. - Mice/Hamsters- I like them. But don't ask me to hold them. Their claws dig into my skin and I flip - Insects, bugs. Especially spiders. Some guy brought a tarantula on the bus and I was like 0_0 - Spider crabs and lobsters. Brr. - Lionfish. And I actually really like snakes, but I'd jump if I saw one slither past me outside
I'm not comfortable with many insects. Spiders, frequently confused with insects, on the other hand, I'm perfectly fine with.
I live in a country where they are prevalent = very venomous snake and very venomous Spiders so I should be scared or at least freaked out by them but the only Insects their concerns me is the cockroach eww is the only word for them
Indiana Jones' "favorite" animal (i.e., snakes). I hate snakes. Interestingly, when I was a young child, I loved snakes and my parents would take me monthly to a local snake farm. Weirdly enough, I'm still fascinated by the venom of them and their use in creating antivenin and novel drugs.
Peacocks for some reason. I'm not freaked out by them normally, but if they walk too close to me I can get pretty freaked out. This is weird because I'm not really scared of spiders and snakes. I actually think they're cute.
Prawns and shrimps! Which is ridiculous because as a marine scientist there are a whole lot more weirder things in the ocean, but those two.... Ewww!
Naked mole rats... they look comical! It depends what you consider an animal! Personally, I think tranchulas are cool! Jellyfish, to an extent. They freak me out a bit, 'cos they're weird! Reading about them has helped. Why don't ya google 'deep sea fish'? Also, flesh eating bugs, much to my dad's amusement. Tame rats are cute! However, I can't stand large numbers of dirty rats and their diseases. I'm a little traumatised from this level in Demon's Souls, and seeing the message 'YOU CAUGHT THE PLAGUE!' That game taught me to do whatever works, even if I thought it was cowardly -- such as using ranged weapons and sneak attacks.
Geese. Oh, and big flying insects. You know, the ones with the size of a fucking dog. Or at least it feels like they're that big.
Any kind of spider, roaches, ticks, and mosquitos. Snakes actually don't bother me that much. I mean, I'll be startled if I see one near me suddenly, but I've held one before with no problem. Sharks scare the crap out of me, but I find them very fascinating. I used to hate sharks. But as I've gotten older, I've learned to appreciate and respect them.
I'm good with them all for the most part, as long as I know what they are. Certain spiders can creep me out when they are crawling on. ....If I find one more wolf spider on my head my entire room is gonna be covered in peppermint oil and leaves.
Any large bugs. Spiders over like 3/4" long. Last summer there were GIANT dock spiders, maybe 3" long. EEK! House centipedes, those giant centipedes that eat bats (not giant millipedes, just centipedes), and big bugs like wetas are horrifying. I've only seen pictures, I can't imagine how scary it would be to to see them in real life.
I've always been terrified of wasps and bees, however, as I get older, more and more insects seem to cross the line into being terrifying creatures... Spiders are okay as long as I know exactly where they are, or am under the impression that they aren't there at all.
