What Are You Reading?

Working on finishing the third volume in the "Black Bullet" series written by Shiden Kanzaki and am about to start "Another" by Yukito Ayatsuji.

 

First book in the Game of Thrones series.

 

Monkey Girl by Edward Humes. It's about the history of the teaching-evolution-in-schools debate.

 

Looks like I'm finally gonna finish "The Pillars of the Earth" by Ken Follet.

 

The Wheel of Time series. it's always a go to series of mine. My favourites for sure.

 

OMG! I love that book!
Right now I'm reading a couple things at once. I think soon I will be reading something by Ernest Hemingway for summer reading.

 

"With The Light: Raising An Autistic Child." It's a manga series which is both informative and very intriguing.

 

Decided the Game of Thrones series is way too dense for me, so I've just finished reading One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich by Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn.

Now, I'm not far from half-way through Snow Country by Yasunari Kawabata, a Japanese author I just discovered yesterday. His novels are only short reads, but his writing is very lyrical and has a great rhythm to it, and I'll most likely read Thousand Cranes, as my next Kawabata novel.

I picked up The Last Night of the Earth Poems by Charles Bukowski today, which I'll be leafing through.

 

Still working on Mein Kampf of course. I'm more or less determined to finish that. But...I am getting sidetracked by manga. I just started reading The World God Only Knows. I don't have much of an opinion yet...but I'm still reading it, so I guess that's a good sign.

 

The Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein. It's the Andrew Luck Book Club book this month!

 

I started "The nonexistent knight" by Italo Calvino almost a month ago, but I don't have time cause of my exams, so I don't know when I will finish it... Btw it's an awesome book, I can't wait to buy the next two of the series!

 

The Stand by Stephen King for the umpteenth time and once again I find myself despising the Ralph Brentner character! Also Ame Nochi Hare, a manga about 5 first-year hs guys who find themselves turning into girls when it rains and back into boys 12 hours after the rain stops. And it rains a lot in Japan! They develop dual lives and despite the silly premise it's surprisingly poignant at times. I want to read Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children and get back into Haganai when I finish with Ralph's story.

 

i'm on... *digging Nexus 7 out* chapter 12 of the audiobook Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone!

 

Getting sidetracked once again from my main book, but looking at an old strategy guide for Star Ocean. I can't even call it a 'book', but it's what I'm currently looking at, so there you go.

 

Doctor Sleep by Stephen King.

 

The Short Timers. I love this book so much. The film 'Full Metal Jacket' that is based on it is also very good.

 

I just finished The Godfather and I am now a shell of my former self.

 

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time (or something like that) by Mark Haddon

It's my summer reading. It's good and really relatable because the protagonist and I both have autism.

 

Loved reading this book. Found it really accurate as my brother has autism and there were a couple similarities between him and Christopher.

Anyway, I'm halfway through Prisoner of Azkaban, and I've just started reading Northanger Abbey again. Finding them both quite easy and enjoyable (re)reads.
