(1) The first person I came out to was my best friend in 7th grade. (2) I was around 13ish when I came out to the first person, but I slowly came out to more people until I came out to the rest over everyone (including my parents) when I was 18. (3) I've been partially out for about 7-8 years, I've been totally out for 2.
First came out to sister and two friends as 'not straight' early in 2013. That led to my best friend coming out as gay that same night. 13 'Bout one? I don't know the exact date!
1. Who was the first person u came out to and how was their reaction? The first person was my mother(first of three attempts at coming out to her) and she was more in shock and didn't say anything. 2. How old were u? Just came up on 23 when I did. I'm 25 now. 3. How many years has it been since u came out? It's been almost two years since the last attempt. I gave up on telling my mother, but I've since come out to a handful of friends(some of them are like my surrogate family) and my counselor knows. My brother knows as well.
I am 26 and I haven't come out yet. Well, I did tell someone at age 22/23 or so. Or more like he forced it out of me. I guess he has a good gaydar.
1. Who was the first person u came out to and how was their reaction? First person I ever mentioned it to was my BFF I was 16 or 17. 2. How old were u? Coming out was a long process. I started around 17, but didn't tell anyone of importance till I was 20. I finished coming out at 23 3. How many years has it been since u came out? 3.5 years since I officially came completely out of the closet.
1 - I came out as bisexual at 15. First person I told was my mother and she didn't seem to care. She told me about the times she had crushes on girls and how she'd have dated a girl if they liked horses. It was a huge shock to me. I was expecting the complete opposite reaction. 2 - 15 and more at 17 which went terribly. My relationship with my parents has been a little shaky and I've lost several friends. I guess that means they were rubbish friends anyway. 3 - 7 years. I might've been out sooner had my parents not sheltered me.
OK, time to set the bar high... 1. My wife, though I think my therapist had known for a while. (Though I never said "I. Am. Gay." To him.) 2. 69 big ones. 3. 3 weeks.
1. I came out to my older sister over Skype. She actually wasn't very suprised, and was pretty supportive, considering that she isn't exactly "straight" herself! 2. I was either 14 or 15. It depends on what day during the month it was. I have a bad memory. 3. Just last month actually, early January, 2014!
I can't remember who I came out to first... I do know I was 25 years old... That's 15 years ago... Or so...
I was 18, and had just graduated high school when I came out for the first time. I came out as being transgender at 19/20 (it was right around my birthday.)

1. My first friend in college. I was a freshman and wanted a new start. 2. 18, towards the end of 18 3. Well I'm 20 now so a little over a year I want to say I forget I'm gay sometimes haha. And I say things about girls. But it's almost like habit Does that happen to you guys?
I was 22 years old when I officially came out to everyone (aside from fellow gay friends and my parents...that happened when I was about 17) I had come out to myself though much younger...around 14 or 15 is when I knew and accepted I was gay.
Yes, and I laugh at gay jokes, and sometimes repeat them, but only when they poke good natured fun, not when they demean anyone. This is not unusual or unexpected; we have been trained by a hetero-normative society to respond reflexively this way, even if it is not instinctive to being gay. But, when I hear someone say "faggot" or "queer", it still makes me want to say "Please don't use that term around me, I know you are a better person than that"; or, if it is some guy who knows who I am and they are saying it in taunting humor, I will jump on them, bear hug them, and give them a loud smacking exaggerated kiss on the cheek; then we both have a good laugh.
1. I came out to my mum first, I don't really remember her reaction because I had to get very drunk to get the courage to tell her but I do remember the first thing she said was "you don't act gay though" lol. 2. I was 18 when I told her. 3. It has been 2 years since I told her.
