There's no irony in this one at all - but it is true. My granddad had YMCA by Village People played at his funeral. He always used to dance to it at special occasions. Even if it was slightly inappropriate, there were a few giggles whilst it was playing. No point being too serious, it was a celebration of his life!
Love Hurts by Nazareth for the wedding. Celebration by Kool & The Gang for the funeral. Celebrate good times, come on! :eusa_danc
One time my parents and I were staying at a hotel and there was wedding reception in the basement. We passed through the lobby we could hear "We're Here for a Good Time, Not For a Long Time". No joke.
This is highly inappropriate but... I was once at a funeral service where a cremation was happening afterwards... Anyways just as the service was ending some guys phone went off and played the ringtone "burning ring of fire" by Johnny Cash. Suffice to say, everyone including himself were absolutely mortified.
A song called This Room Is Alive could be considered slightly inappropriate for a funeral, couldn't it?
Oh dear! :roflmao: Hmm...the bitch song by bowling for soup or the phantom of the opera would be inappropriate good songs for a wedding...and don't ask me (how i've been) or get over it by hellogoodbye would be for a funeral!
