So...I know there are some stereotypes floating around about the eating patterns of LGBT peps. I'm just curious, do you restict your diet, and why?

I myself am a vegitarian. I started for the health reasons, but as I looked into it more I realized that I also really don't like the treatment of animals.

Out of curiosity, what's a paleo diet? Is it similar to pescetarianism, where the only meat you eat is fish?

  4. I've been a lacto-ovo vegetarian for 7 years now. ^^

Paleo is nuts, seafood, meat, vegetable etc. High in fat, low in carbs.

I'm on a "See food" diet: I see food, I eat it.

I eat whatever I want. I always have. I always will. Some of my taste in food might be considered decadent - hefty steaks and elaborate desserts, for example. Eating anything has been the way my ancestors ate, and they lived for a very long time. I do have trouble with hunting, to some extent, so I could happily be a pescetarian, but I couldn't afford it.

I don't see any options above for an omnivore, unless "paleo" means one who eats everything. Generally, I think of paleontologist when I see that prefix.

A genius once said that there's more cruelty in a glass of milk than 5 ounces of beef.

All depends on where you get the milk.

Just out of curiosity, what are those stereotypes? I've never heard any.

I limit how much junk food I eat. I also don't drink soda anymore but that is pretty much it. I have no problem eating meat

I've been vegetarian for about 2 years. I try to be vegan, but I really like cheese so my mom calls me a lazy half-ass vegan, seems fitting!

I could never be vegetarian or vegan myself, but I definitely have respect for others who are. Having the self-control and strength to alter your life style in such a significant way to match your ideals is pretty impressive

That we tend to be vegetarian and vegan. I have found there to be some truth to it.

  19. That doesn't seem accurate. At least in Denmark according to the Danish knowledge centre of farming, a cow produces about 28 kilos of milk a day, for 10-11 months straight, then has a calf, which is a 6-8 weeks break from milk productions, that calf is either female, and gets to live or male and is raised for veal meat, so it's 50/50.
So it don't think 5 ounces of beef is as cruel as a glass of milk. At least from a mathematicians point of view.

I don't restrict my diet, partly because I have to eat whatever I get.
