I work at a grocery store and it closes at 6pm(normally closes at midnight) on Thanksgiving, so at least they don't keep us the entire day. As to will I go shopping on that day or next? HELL NO. I've been before and it's insane. In another thread I mentioned my brother getting his shirted ripped off by a much of middle aged women fighting over electronic picture frames. So yeah, I'm going to stay home, eat turkey, watch football, and not risking going out to get stabbed or trampled.
now is the idea to stop shopping at these stores - forever? I kinda need to shop at a store ever if I don't have at least one of these like Target some day I am going to have to use Amazon for everything I can't shop every corner store for everything I get for the rest of my life. :tears: and I only have a bicycle so I can't shop at Costco or places like that. ---------- Post added 15th Nov 2013 at 01:30 PM ---------- The Pilgrims needed to land at Plymouth Rock to replenish their water supply since they ran out on their ship and where they were they found a group of natives who helped them with food - this is a festival which we run every year using the same sorts of foods that were presented that time.
My idea is not to stop shopping there forever, just for the Christmas season. I just want to put pressure on them to not be open Thanksgiving day.
Black Friday shopping? Probably not. However, I have a few things on my mind that I'd like to get. Probably a new cd holder and new sneakers...but that's about it.
Wait, if I were to get my 3ds on thanksgiving, does it mean that I have to go at Thursday midnight or actually thursday evening? Being not born here, I am still lost on how thanksgiving shopping works
I might shop online, but I don't think I would actually ever go out for black Friday, especially after having worked in retail. Well, I hear Walmart is opening this year at 6pm, so I am guessing a lot of other retailers will do the same. So you might want to go Thursday evening if you want to get one before they run out.
I'll be working that day. Lucky me, it's also my birthday. In Kohl's defense, they are only opening on Thanksgiving to stay ahead of the competition. But yeah, I'm working the last shift on Thursday and the first shift on Friday. I don't even get to see my family or my twin brother this year. CHINESE FOOD FOR THE WIN!!!
No, I won't brave the crowd and chaos. It's too much for me, if I really wanted to shop I'd do it online.
