I live in Hawaii; this is awesome, but of course, the homophobes and religious fanatics can't just let it go; they are already planning a lawsuit to postpone allowing marriages... ---------- Post added 12th Nov 2013 at 08:03 PM ---------- ABERCROMBIE WILL SIGN GAY MARRIAGE BILL WEDNESDAY - Hawaii News - Honolulu Star-Advertiser This is a better article...
Great news. It's legal on a national level here. My getting married would depend on my future partner. I would like to, but if he/she/they don't want to I could live with that. ---------- Post added 13th Nov 2013 at 11:23 AM ---------- Then there are deranged fucks like this guy, who's actually the president of the police union:
Another EC member from Hawaii (!). I made this post the second the vote was made. I'm sure there's better articles out there. The religious people will ultimately fail. The odds of the courts hearing this case before December 2nd are highly unlikely. Even if they put them on a hold after they take effect, it would just be another California again where ultimately the crazy right loses.
Hawaii is totally going to make bank off of gay weddings. It's a beloved wedding/honeymoon destination, after all. ---------- Post added 13th Nov 2013 at 03:03 PM ---------- According to the poll, more of us live in places with gay marriage than without. Fuck. Yes.
With all the religious bigots in my area, I'd be surprised if this topic sees popular vote in my lifetime. But kudos to Hawaii! (!)
So glad I got out of Oklahoma and moved to New York. I figure Oklahoma will probably be like number 49 or 50 to pull its head out of its ass.
California, it is full of liberals. I'm relatively sure it's legal here. Hawaii, eh? I'd like to visit Hawaii one day...
I hope that by the time I'm ready to get married, in like 15 years or so, gay marriage shall be legal nationwide. He/She/They shall be happy that we can get married anywhere in the US, UK, or British Columbia. :icon_bigg
Awesome speech from a Hawaii legislator Hawaii Rep. Kaniela Ing Gives Pro-Gay Rights Speech, Addresses 'Gay Lifestyle' Argument
