I love christmas, it's my favourite time of year. So as it approaches i like to watch all the christmas movies that are broadcast on tv. What about you ? Do you like Christmas movies ? What is your favourite ?
Ugh, must we? We haven't even hit Thanksgiving yet. :rolle: But I'll bite. There's an adaptation of the Dylan Thomas short story "A Child's Christmas in Wales" that was made in 1987 that's a family favorite in my family, and I still love watching it. That and the Muppet Christmas Carol.
Children of Men is almost a nativity story, and Millions is Christmassy too. Those are the only ones I actually liked.
I'm with Owen. Christmas doesn't start until after my post-turkey nap. That said, Love Actually is my favorite Christmas movie. Edit: Though Millions comes in a very, very close second.
How the Grinch Stole Christmas, cartoon version. But such a sad ending...it came after all. I want a version where he really does steal it. Always get very depressed, and reminded how poor we are, and how we never have any $ to give or get any presents, or visit anyone. It's kinda a sad, lonely time when I think a lot about not wanting to live. Everyone is away doing something, it seems.
I forgot the name, I think it was called "The Ultimate Christmas Gift". And I don't know about France, but in the UK, Thanksgiving isn't really celebrated at all. At least, not my area.
The life and Adventures of Santa Claus. I just loved it so much as a child, it's extremely nostalgic to me.
I always watch the stop-action Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer and Santa Claus Is Coming To Town, White Christmas and It's a Wonderful Life as well.
