Just a word of caution, these tests were done in animals, not humans, on a simian variant of HIV, not the usual human virus. The results are very encouraging (I actually work in the field of antibody therapy) but much more work needs to be done in humans to get the results we need to know for sure.
Yes, I agree. This may well be a false alarm. One of my father's friends managed to prevent the spread of a lethal cancer she introduced into a rat, but a rat is a rat and a human is a human. This is unlikely to be a major breakthrough.
