This new guy that is very open about being gay just came up to me and asked if I am gay. I don't know why but I found that kind of rude and offensive? :s ...

I'm sure national rail change train times when they know I'm heading for a train. Always have a long wait.

I am a student intent on getting good grades, and am rather overworked and stressed out right now. My mother is working, and is coming home today after working away a couple of days. My father is a lazy slob who actively rejects jobs in secret and hopes my mother won't find out.

Dad: Would you like to cook something for me and mum when I pick her up? ('Would you like to' is how he phrases orders)
Me: Is that a trick question?
    Dad: Will you cook something?
    Me: No
Dad: That isn't fair, making your mother cook after a long journey

    *sigh*

(I eventually convinced him to do it himself. I'm sorry, but I cook for him all the time, and he doesn't even have the decency to stop complaining about the absence of meat in my cooking. It's time he did it himself.)

Well. I'm getting really good at BSing deadlines.

And wait. Where's the girl I sat next to in Algebra? She's like...poof. And I was kind of looking forward to seeing her, stupid as that sounds...

Glad to see my parents aren't taking my future college education seriously. Instead of using the $18,000 they saved up for my college (which has been in the works for years), the decide to blow it all on getting a two car garage... gee, hope that extra car space is worth it whenever your son has student loans out the wazoo.

Ooooh. What's the special reason or who's the lucky guy? :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Okay, one. Starving = no bueno.

Two, you'll actually find that starving yourself or eating fewer meals will result in your body "hoarding" calories. So if you're trying to lose weight, it's recommended you do the opposite of what conventional wisdom would tell you and eat more meals.

What you're doing is not eating more, persay, but distributing out your daily calories in smaller, yet more frequent doses. This is also assuming you'll be going for a normal, medically suggested amount of calories per day and trying to incorporate a balanced diet.

Consuming the proper number of calories is important. Too little will result in hoarding like drwinchester says, however, you do need to eat at regular intervals to keep your metabolism up. As well as eating reasonably with proper vitamins and minerals, raising your heart rate by walking or using stairs or something that isnt sedentary is essential to keep weight off. Your heart muscles metabolize fat more and cardio is excellent for burning fat.

My great aunt told me she had to go to hospital almost a week ago, and I haven't heard back from her. :icon_sad: I really hope she's okay. She won't have access to electronic communications in hospital, though, so even if she's fine I won't hear from her until she's discharged. :frowning2:
