I would probably say... Weirdest movie would be Up. I kinda didn't understand the point of going and living near a waterfall.
Hmmm. Weirdest movie would be a bit of a challenge, because there have been some pretty odd ones that I've liked, and some odd ones I've hated. If I had to choose weirdest and most pointless, the award from me would probably go to I Heart Huckabees, which is sad, because it had Dustin Hoffman and Lily Tomlin in it. But it was both weird and terrible.
The Holy Mountain. It didn't make sense AT ALL. Here's a trailer if you're interested. Warning: contains some shooting, some blood but most of all a lot of weirdness.
Rubber its about a tire that goes around blowing things up with its mind, and people sit on a cliff with binoculars watching this tire as if watching a movie, but then they get poisoned.
I... what? Being John Malkovich, 2001's ending, A Clockwork Orange or Calvaire (in the context of the film the scene makes even less sense) or Dogtooth are the strangest I've seen. But I don't think any of them beat The Holy Mountain.
I will second this, and also add Syriana into the mix which is equally sad because it has George Clooney in it.
This movie called Trapped Ashes. Within the first 20 minutes a lady has breast implants, and then her nipples start eating people.
Weird? Yes. Amazing? Even more. Both great movies. I'm seriously considering to watch it again some day because of this thread. The weirdness fascinates me.
That movie wasn't supposed to make sense. It doesn't count. The weirdest movie I've ever seen is probably Short Circuit. I don't understand how lightning can make a robot sentient.
Yep, I was going to say The Holy Mountain or anything by Alejandro Jorodowsky. He did another movie, El Topo. I never finished it but it's pretty darn weird also. His movies can be pretty fun.
So my friend (really hipster, into indie movies) asked me to go with her to go see this movie... I had no idea of what is was about (which is weird because I usually research, if even a little, something I've never seen or know nothing about). The movie: Daniel and Ana. Very strange film and left me feeling very awkward for sometime after...
