No, I wouldn't. I hate sports, but lots of people like them - and who am I to say that things I don't like should be banned?
I must say I do feel quite outnumbered when everyone's saying they hate sports and don't get them... alas, I've never assimilated well into the gay community. (Just as long as I'm watching, not playing of course )
Hell no. Sports (except for golf, soccer and other sports, of course) and News are all I watch when I watch TV.
No, don't ban sports. I love watching the footballers in their game shorts. They have some great legs! I also like the gymnasts and the swimmers.
Should sport be banned completely? nah, as much as I hate the whole concept of watching sport. However they do need to move that shit off regular channels and to their own sports only channel.
Maybe just professional wrestling and UFC... ...but seriously, spectator sports, as boring as they can be, shouldn't be banned from being televised. Placed on their own channel maybe, but definitely not banned.
if they banned sports, i'd be really upset. just because you don't like something doesn't mean that other people don't love it. sports are a huge money maker and a huge part of a lot of people's lives. that's probably one of the most unrealistic suggestions i've ever seen posted by you DB.
I've become a big Baseball fan, and never thought I would, and follow the Baltimore Orioles, and The Detroit Tigers, and also root against the evil, horrible, grizzly, old, withered, wizened, ugly, misshapen, haggard, steroid addled, pompous, rich, obnoxious, poor-loser NY Yankees. I find it relaxing to watch, and the O's Manny Machado is really, really cute to the point of it being almost too much to bear! I'd get rid of Tennis, Golf, LaCrosse and other sports I think are mainly for rich snobs.
I love watching sports on TV. I can't wait until October the 29th when the NBA season starts. I definitely don't think it should be banned because most of the country watches sport events on the television.
I think all football (rugby, AFL, soccer) should be banned. It's rape culture, corporate rubbish, and it makes people ridiculously violent.
Well, considering I am going into television sports production (or just live production in general) I wouldn't ban it. I'm a bit biased though
No. I don't like sports, but some people do. This sounds a lot like the gay marriage debate, it's not really hurting anyone so there's no reason to ban it. Actually, sports hurt more people than gay marriage. Athletes do get hurt a lot, but love hurts no one. Was the similarity to gay marriage the point of this thread, or just a coincidence? Are you serious, or was that misunderstood sarcasm?
No, I'm quite serious. Whenever soccer season starts, my brother turns into a sexist, violent, arrogant, selfish, spoiled pig with a superiority complex, and so does the rest of his team. The teams behave more violently during season, even without soccer. It's horrible, and this is only at a local level, with one of the gentler team sports.
