Greetings folks, Going to court tomorrow for what I hope will be the first and last divorce hearing (but who knows?). I am strangely not stressed about it...more stressed about paying the lawyer... Then right after court, I will resume "courting" my...boyfriend?...right after, for coffee. He offered to meet me (while taking a little time from work nearby)...really, really sweet! With the hearing it's all just one big "whatever" (of course I will fight for the tedious business of not getting railroaded), I'm just more looking forward to seeing him again! Sigh....
Good luck! Interesting that in one day, one chapter of your life (marriage) closes, and another (dating) continues its beginning.
I bet you will regardless of the outcome. And of course you can always come here to ease any issues we can help with Foxface
Hugs friend! Miracles happen!.If My conservative Catholic Inlaws are ok with me being gay ANYTHING is possible!!!!
Greetings folks! Well court was interesting, we never appeared before a judge, her lawyer was in a "conciliatory" mood (translation: I don't make enough money) and decided to negotiate an interim agreement...roughly equivalent to what I would have offered her with government-paid mediation! Paying my lawyer at the end of the month. Grrrrrrrr. Trivialities aside, I went immediately after to meet my boyfriend. We arranged to meet at Victoria Square, next to the statue of Queen Victoria (two "queens" meeting at the Queen...). We had coffee, then walked to a cupcake shop to get my daughter birthday cupcakes (she loves cupcakes and it's her birthday today). On the way, we were on the sidewalk pretty much alone. I stopped, my hand held his and we just kissed for the first time right there. We continued, shyly smiling at each other, and then we passed a beautiful art deco building that has an accessible terasse at the top, we kissed a little more in the elevator and a little more at the top of the building. We are definitely boyfriends... He is quite the gentleman, always insisting on walking on the street side of the sidewalk...it was adorable. We'll be going out for dinner tonight... I want to thank you all for your kind words, divorce is not fun, but finding someone to love is ample compensation!
He sounds like a great guy. That reminds me, wasn't it you who didn't know how to approach the 2 gay guys you saw holding hands? (Think it was in April?). Look at you now
All things considered... Sounds like a GREAT day in moving like forward -- on multiple fronts ;-) Much happiness!!
