привет! I took Russian in college and was going to major in Russian until I got discouraged because I got super behind. I have been considering getting back into it and was wondering if there was anyone here who speaks/studies it. I can still read it and write it so-so.
    спасибо!

I know scarcely more Russian than the word you posted there, but it is a cool language of a cool people (literally :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:). I really want to learn more of it.

I know Polish, which is a cousin of Russian language, but since its a completely different alphabet I'm kind of clueless with the written language (spoken is a little better for me lol). I do know I guess К здоровью, but that is almost the extent of written Russian language for me haha :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: My mom grew up in the Poland during Communism so she knows the language a little better and Ive tried to get her to teach me a little of it lol

"Nyet" is what you're looking for.

I know that, a few other words, and "Avtomat Kalashnikova."

I can read and understand some Russian (just a tiny bit), but I can't speak. People think that Bulgarian, which is my native language, and Russian are very similar, but they're not.

The extent of the Russian I know is "do svidaniya" and "opulence, I has it". The language sounds really badass though. If it were practical for me, I'd probably want to learn some.

Took two semesters in college, and I know a good number of Russians so I get a little extra exposure here and there. My favorite russian word?: "обычно," which means "usually" - pronounced roughly like "Oh bitch no!," because I am immature :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

    Я говорю чуть-чуть по-русски.

I was going to minor in it at college, but since I'm an engineer, it would have added another year of school.

Russian is actually close to Bulgarian but it's very hard for me to speak it. I understand every bit of it and can read cyrlic (since it's our native alphabet and even comes from Bulgaria). I've studied it for 6 years just because it's close to my language. I had to choose between German and Russian and made the mistake to pick up Russian. Still, I found my knowledge useful, since a lot of Russian tourists come to my town.

Спасибо всем за ваши ответы. я забыл много и мне нужно изучать.

Rakkaus, это здорово, что вы там учился. Я хочу посетить когда-нибудь.

Rakkaus и fuzzywuzzy, Я думаю, что русский язык очень трудно. Это нормально, что мы делаем ошибки.
