How do you remove semen stains from a polyester quilt? :icon_redf I need to take care of this one before my mom sees it and I have to call it "dog slobber."
A damp sponge or cloth should do the trick. Or you could fold it back and pretend you thought you'd try airing the bed every day because you'd read that we lose 2 pints of sweat in out beds overnight. But a damp cloth will probably sort it - unless you're talking about a lagoon!:roflmao:
I have a feeling that even if you call it "dog slobber", your mom will know exactly which "dog" it came from. Moms know these sorts of things go on and even if it's a little embarrassing, it shouldn't be unexpected. But Bobbgooduk is right, a little water and some gentle agitation with a washcloth (don't use a paper towel) will usually do it. If not, just throw it in the washer when she isn't around
omfg wow lol. cannot believe you asked this however all you do is "accidently" spill juice all over where the stains are so that they are no longer visible over the stains
If it can't be removed then you could try applying semen to the rest of the quilt so you won't even notice the stain. It will blend right in!
COLD washing for protein stains like semen or blood. Hydrogen peroxide (3%) is also good on washable fabrics--pour the hydrogen peroxide on the stain and then flush with water from the other side of the fabric. (Make sure to flush thoroughly with water, because if you let the hydrogen peroxide stay on the fabric it might bleach it.) If the stain is stubborn, you can also try soaking it in lukewarm (not above room temperature) water with unseasoned meat tenderizer, which will help break up a protein stain.
Problem: Semen. What to use: Cake of soap. How to apply: Damp the soak in cold water and rub over the stain. Then rub the stain against itself until it's removed. Put the sheets in the washing machine on the cold cycle. From a book of mine about removing stains.
I had the same problem with my pillow after my BF visited, all i used was cold water and a sock (I didn't have cloth, okay) and they came right out :3
Hi, new from Australia and I directly landed this post as I have just purchased expensive quilt cover and it got a stain of coffee.... could I remove it with any spray or something like this?
