I liked Annie on My Mind and I still need to read Sarah Waters' books (especially Tipping the Velvet!)

I just finished Almost Perfect by Brian Katcher. Not real sure how I feel about it. I definitely would not recommend it for any transgender teen just starting out, especially for mtf. It is way more jarring than I first expected. Like, I alternately wanted to throw the book or cry for most of it. Or beat up the main character, who has this total anti-hero thing going on. Also, trigger warning for mentioning of suicidal ideation/self harm. It was alright, but there are many better ones that aren't as emotionally difficult to read. Has anyone else read it?

I have almost 2000 lesbian books. All of them are on my kindle or kindle library I didn't even know so much lesbian fiction existed until I got my kindle. When looking for something to read I go on Amazon and type lesbian fiction in to the search bar when i set it to kindle store and when you click search it has all sorts of selections at the side like different catagories and publish time frames. Susan x meagher, Gerri Hill, Lynn Galli and Radclyffe are great authors ,but a guy called Erik Schubach writes some very sweet lesbian romances but they are very clean and the word sex isn't even mentioned ,and I like that from a male writer rather than the porn like sex scenes other male writers try.

There are some good LGBT+ books found on websites like Wattpad. The only problem with these stories is that they are written by the users on the website, instead of actual authors. There are often many errors found inside their writing, but if you can look past that, the stories are very good.

Lesbian: "If I Fall" by Lauryn A. Brooks. Good news: It's free to read on Wattpad. Pretty amazing. My favorite book as of now.

Gay: "Free Fall" by HecDaevis. Good news: Also free to read on Wattpad. First gay book I ever read. Pretty good.

Any recommendations on a lesbian romance book that is more than 200 pages and available on Nook? I have bought several lately but I read them to fast because the page count is so low. I need a happy distraction so no endings where they can't be together or someone dies. Nothing depressing because I can do that on my own. Thanks.

Have you checked out the Heroes of Olympus and Magnus Chase series? There are lesbian, bi, genderfluid and gay characters. VERY good read.

I love, love Symptoms of Being Human. It constructs the everyday struggle of a non binary teenager accurately. I even cried to a couple of chapters, especially later ones. I have never felt so relatable as reading this book. I highly recommend this book for those who are non binary, androgynous or transgender. You'll be in a trance, in an alternative universe.

I just read that book! The author now goes by Juno (she's trans but wrote the book before she transitioned). It's not the most in-depth book but it's a lot of fun, I do recommend it.

There's this short story I absolutely love in the amazon bookstore / kindle store called Coffee Boy by Austin Chant. The main character is ftm. Its the first fiction I ever read with an actual trans character.

Try beat writers such as Allen Ginsberg's poetry or William Burroughs' Queer or Naked Lunch. If they're not for you, you way like Jean Genet's Our Lady Of The Flowers. It's a great book! My other favourites are EM Forster's Maurice and James Baldwin's Giovanni's Room.

If you don't mind furry stuff, sports stuff, and gay (gay men) stuff, Kyell Gold's Dangerous Spirits series is awesome so far. Green Fairy is a favorite of mine. You don't necessarily have to know about sports or be into sports to read his stuff, but, for example, baseball is part of the Green Fairy story, so if you do like sports, you'll especially like these books.

The Song of Achilles is amazing- one of my favourite YA novels of all time, not just queer ones. Its about the romance between Achilles (the Trojan War one) and Patroclus and their life together, told from the point of view of Patroclus. Other LGBT books I love are:
    - Carry On by Rainbow Rowell (think drarry but minus Draco being the wizard equivalent of a white supremacist)
    - The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater (this is a series, the first book is The Raven Boys. The two main protagonists are both straight, but the gay and bi characters in this book are represented really well I think. So even though there isn't a lot of LGBT content, the LGBT content is really well done)
    - Nimona by Noelle Stevenson (this is a really cute graphic novel about a little girl who becomes the apprentice to a villain, and the villain and his nemesis used to be boyfriends. I wouldn't really call this an "LGBT" book because it's never fully explicit... but its too cute not to put here and the book is really short so you can read it quickly).
    - Lumberjanes by Noelle Stevenson (I'm still reading this one, but its another graphic novel. Its about these girls who go on a summer camp and their adventures. A+ LGBT content, two of the main characters are in a lesbian relationship, and another one of the main characters is a trans girl.)
