so much for their claims of working towards marriage equality. if they are so against gays kissing on tv, how can we trust they actually stand for marriage equality?
Oh for crying out loud. Not again. Still, now I have some evidence against Cameron to use against my dad in debates.
They should ban drinking and sex from TV, if they're so worried about their children 'seeing things they shouldn't', because that is exactly why they would want it banned until after 9pm. But do we see them doing this? Of course not.
I would really like to know what his reasoning for this is. If Cameron somehow thinks that its to protect children then he should remember this, lots of children are willingly watching porn and I doubt a same sex kiss is going to give them any more ideas then porn does...
^ This. There is much more important things that need to be done in our country and this is what's being talked about? Don't be a douche, Cameron. Sort things out that actually need to be sorted out. Yours sincerely, United Kingdom.
It's actually becoming pretty common over here in soaps. Coronation Street alone, which is what the actress mentioned in the first post stars in, has 4 gay characters, all of whom are in relationships. There's likely going to be another gay couple added to the soap in the near-future too. I don't watch Eastenders or Emmerdale, but I think they have gay characters in them as well. It's becoming increasingly common on TV here. Corrie is going to be able to host its own pride parade if they keep adding gay characters.
Yeah, the soaps are common for same sex kisses. Tbh most of British television is leniant with same-sex kisses and I only thought a small minority had a problem with it. Actually, I already thought that same-sex kisses and anything that might deem to have 'sexual content' (though I know that a same-sex kiss is barely sexual) was after watershed ... I was mistaken when I watched the Glee Klaine kiss at 11am xDD
Ugh, so ass backwards. I'm sick of the double standards with some people when they watch shows of this genre. They don't bat an eyelash when all kinds of actual immorality happens (adultery, rape, kidnappings, etc.) ... if you can watch all that, then two guys or two girls kissing for a few seconds should not be a problem.
I second this. And third this. @thing: He is, if you ask me. He's been saying he's changed it [empty][useless] mind about gay rights and stuff, and I never believed it. This has just proved me right. If he wanted to keep the fag vote, he should have at least left the issue alone. By saying that he's pro-gay rights, he made a commitment to defend them. If someone is manipulating this, he should fight it.
But that's not how the Conservatives work. If this were Labour, yes, I'd blame Milliband. But this is the Conservatives, and the only time that the Conservative leader has really been in charge was during the Thatcher administration.
