Just to get this off of my chest, anything with the name "calculus" in it officially makes me want to cry. Just saying. =/
What about if it's ..... sexy calculus? << Of course, in the voice Anna Faris uses in The House Bunny. :icon_wink xD
NOT this. I love math. I love analyzing things. It is how my mind works. Now, math + learning the social ropes + extreme emotional episodes = FAIL. Literally. I failed calculus in high school because of it.
Another maths major here. Although I do agree, I've never liked calculus much either. The most mind numbing paper I ever took was on real analysis (I enjoyed complex analysis a lot more for some reason). Finally, I'm always slightly disturbed at how afraid of maths most of the CS students I know are. Maths is so fundamentally important to computer science.
LOL, I love math. Butttt, I can't remember anything from pre-cal, and i'm in college pre-cal right now. p.s.--- highschool pre-cal was last semester, LOL.
The math force, as a certain high school math teacher would say ^_^ But, Revan, by Spring semester of this upcoming year, I'll have to have three math classes at once >_> Yeah, major and all, but that's still too many
i've loved math but ever since alg2/trig in 10th grade and pre-calc this past year i'm starting to hate it i'm taking IB Math/AP Calc and i already have hmwk due the first day... i'm procrastinating. i try to read the book but i just get sleepy :S any advice for a future calc student?
Calculus is something you need to pay close attention to. Having gone through AP Calculus (AP is somewhat akin to IB) while going through strong emotional times and social strengthening, I couldn't pay close attention. I failed AP Calculus. I didn't need the credit, but oh... the horror. Hell, I have a calc class coming up in college and I'm still not quite emotionally stable. But paying attention is key. Also, KNOW YOUR TRIGONOMETRY. Know it well.
