Here is the interactive Same Sex Marriage Map I found on CNN. Quite Interesting. http://www.cnn.com/2009/US/05/26/california.same.sex.marriage/index.html#cnnSTCOther1
hopefully we can purple-ize New Hampshire, New York and New Jersey by the end of the summer. June 22nd is the deadline for the NY Senate to vote this session, we need to lobby the Senators for a yes vote, The governor will sign this.
I'm waiting on New York also. Gov. Patterson will no doubt sign it, but NY is somewhat conservative except for of course the boroughs, and a few parts of LI, and what not. Maybe i'm being pessimistic but i don't think it's gunna pass in NY. I hope it does tho
Wow I didn't realize Wisconsin was so against gay marriage. Maybe we should lay off the milk and cheese a little bit. I think living in the liberal capital of Madison gives me a skewed view of the rest of the state.
I always love seeing these maps with Iowa out in the middle, surrounded by states anti-marriage laws. But then I feel sad, because it shows how much work we still have to do.
And then look at this one: Dark Blue - Same-sex marriage1 Medium Blue - Other type of partnership (or unregistered cohabitation)1 Light Blue - Foreign same-sex marriages recognized1 Grey - No recognition of same-sex couples Yellow - Minimal penalty Orange - Large penalty Red - Life in prison Burgandy - Death penalty
ok im on a downer now looking at this map how stacked are these odds human rights...human what now more like :S
for all the marraige allowed area theres as many death penaltys put to death for loving someone, the great human race how small
Yeah. What South American country is that that says life in prison for gay people? Good thing it's not Argentina. Fuck the death penalty. As if I wasn't against it enough. And imprisonment? THE FUCK? WHAT THE FUCK? FUCK THE WHAT? THE FUCK WHAT??? WHAY FREAKIN SIX! can't believe it
Guyana, I think it is. =/ And honestly, I don't know. People are afraid of catching The Gay? It just doesn't make any sense to me whatsoever. I don't think I'll ever understand why someone would want to put someone else to death for it.
