Crossing the Street by Myself: Phil Clore. Wrote a review on Amazon. A beautiful book of poems... consise, funny, almost unbearably sad. Queer poet, pure poetry.
Not really a fan of book reading but I am number four trilogy caught my eye and I finished it last month. I'm lonely because I think power of six will not be aired as a movie because the I am number four movie didn't boom..:-( Interested in reading mortal instruments soon and percy jackson..
Crossing the Street by Myself (poetry): Phil Clore. I love this... wrote a review on my blog and for Amazon. Moving, funny, insightful -- being queer, growing old, returning to childhood, loss and compensation.
What a coincidence!! I really enjoyed reading The Old Man and the Sea as well. Definitively a novella I'd recommend. Even though I'm not even half-ways through The Good Soldier Svejk it is already one of my all time favourites.
The last book I finished reading was James Michener's Centennial. I'm pretty sure I developed a crush on McKeag. I've read plenty of books since then, but I can't finish them. I have this thing where I can't finish a story I love because I feel that as soon as I turn the final page the characters will fade once more into mere words and their adventures will come to a final end. So I usually leave the last pages untouched, so that their future is one of infinite possibility.
Currently halfway through the uncut edition of The Stand by Stephen King (~1200 pages ). So far so good!
Just finished Magic's Pawn trilogy again. It meant a lot more to me this time because I'm not denying that I'm gay. I saw Vanyel from a gay point of view rather than a bisexual. It also made a difference that I'm much older now. I got more of the relationships in the story rather than just reading the action parts closely.
Just finished reading Joseph Boyden, Born With A Tooth. It's a collection of short stories, most of them set on First Nations reserves in Northern Ontario. Each of the stories concentrated on an aspect of First Nations lives. All the stories were moving, and brought about reflection. It's definitely a collection, I'll read again.
Trust Me -- Jeff Erno The Rainbow Boys series -- Angel Sanchez Something Like Summer -- Jay Bell But it wasn't all LGBT Coming of Age books Fraud -- David Rakoff and I just finished rereading Brave New World by Aldous Huxley...one of my favorites!
Last book I read was Richard Dawkin's 'The God Delusion' I'm staring at my Sherlock Holmes book now thinking about actually reading it, but I'm sorta worried I won't have any enthusiasm for the book. I really feel out of reading in highschool, and I'm not sure if things are any different now 0.0
Shrink Dreams It's an analysis-based book regarding dreams of psychiatrists about their own patients amazing read Foxface
