I was at Starbucks yesterday getting a Frappucino and I forgot that they were 40 cents more than a venti latte. Anways, the guy behind the counter recognized me (I go to Starbucks often), and he had flirted with me before. So he sees me and grins before launching into this insane barrage of English. I just laughed and smiled back before ordering. So he gives me the price and my face falls. I only had 4.50€ instead of 4.90€. I tell him that and say, 'Instead of venti, make it grande.' He looks at me, shakes his head and says, 'I'll buy it for you. It's a present for such a nice and hot day.' I start blushing madly which makes him even more cocky and smiley. He kept saying things like, 'It's no problem. It's a gift.' Totally made my day yesterday
Yeah, it's a bit more expensive in some European (German) cities. I'm a bit surprised though that it would be this expensive in Bremen. Anyways....Great story!
Expensive or not, the point is I didn't spend any money on it that day I hope this becomes a repeating thing...
*cough* It is. I swear its like murder but for my wallet every time i got. It does not help that its tradition for me to go to the three starbucks you can see from the one street corner and order at the one with the cutest barista xD
