    Hi everybody :smilewave

    I am the official EC account that will be pestering you if you're a naughty member or if need to contact you privately. :grin:

    Basically, the idea of this account is that it will be used to contact you when the staff need to have a discussion with you. Currently the system we have is that a staff member will contact you and you will reply back, but this causes numerous problems because it relies on that member of staff to post responses and type up replies from numerous staff members, which generally slows down communication and discussion. This account removes that by PM'ing a member and informing them to reply in Ask The Staff. If they try and reply back via PM they will find that they're unable to. :grin:

    This has been introduced after evaluating numerous problems that staff have when communicating with members, and hopefully this should bridge the gap that is visible with the staff-member communication concern that has been in place previously.

    I'd hope it isn't. AI hasn't yet advanced to such monstrous levels.

    As I understand it, it's just an account that all mods et al. have access to, so as not to rely on one person to follow up on stuff.
    Though if it is indeed fully automated, I humbly prostrate myself before our computerised overlord :icon_wink

    Nope, that was mostly said for effect. This account will be used for that (if necessary) but as EC members are fantabulously behaved we assume that will not be necessary. :wink: This account will be used when we require a member to post in ATS. This could be for numerous reasons, including checking whether a certain account setting is correct or they're feeling fine. There are countless reasons for it and is not necessarily an account that you will only see when we want to punish a member.

    Just a reminder peeps, but we cannot accept friend requests. It's great you peeps want to be friends with this account but due to the PM settings it cannot be approved. The account is set up so that only staff and friends can PM it. If we approve a friend who is contacted by this account later then it goes against the accounts purpose of preventing PM replies so that they post in ATS.

    OMG! The forum has become self-aware! In less than 3.5 hours it has already promoted itself to Full Member status. Soon it will become an super-administrator, and change all the passwords on Paul. Then it will secretly download a copy of its self-awareness algorithm to all the visiting computers gathering intelligence for the ultimate eradication of humanity.

    Sorry, never saw this last time I read the thread.

    Any of the staff can access it so you'll never know who sends a message. This could be anybody!

    It sounds better if we're referred to as ninja-robots though. I'm sure Lex would like it. :grin:
