ok so this is an amusing little thing which happened to me the other night... so i was at a friend's boyfriends new place for like a house warming party. we ran out of wine and cigarettes so we all decided to walk down to the local shop to buy more. The 2 guys who were gonna buy were 20 and 22 years old. Neither of them brought id to prove their age since they dont normally need it anymore at a small local shop like that. so first the 20 year old walks in and they ask for id which he doesnt have. then the 22 year old walks in and they ask for id,which he didnt have. i happen to have id on me,since im recently 18. so we decide ill go in and buy it. i go up to the counter ready to use my id and they dont ask for it!!! i find the idea that i look older than a 20 and 22 year old quite hilarious lol, i really really dont even look 18 i swear
exactly! and yet they didnt ask for proof im 18,but did ask someone who is 22. what a funny old world lol
i know the feeling, at my works party i never got id'd in the clubs (im only 16, dnt look it) this gets me on trains too! they never seem to ask for tickets on my journeys! (well between where i go) so it buggs me that they insist you buy a ticket but cant check them! pointless, i would have saved maybe 15£ on fares! (although im a good boy and wud still buy a ticket, knowing my luck the day i didnt they would check.)
Well its a triumph anyway My mate's 23 but he looks about 14, and he's always getting ID'd - it pisses him off
I always get really excited when I get asked for ID. I'm all like "OH YEAH! I'm 18! AWESOME!" I'm so disappointed when no-one asks me
I was ID'd 2 weeks ago at a gig for booze. The drinking age is 18 here... Oddly enough, I've found I get ID'd more often now than I did 4-5 years ago.
I always found when I didn't have id as a teen that they would ask for it, as soon as I became 18 and got id (uk legal age for alcohol) they didn't ask which I was pissed at! However I do on occasion get asked for it still and I'm quite pleased when I do!
Ive only been carded once, and the only reason that betch carded me is because I knocked over her damn display..She knows she had never carded me before. Other than that most people think Im older than 21. Plus it helps that the waitresses at Hooters love me.
Was it a different cashier? Interesting little story. I was down in Minneapolis about a year ago and a liquor store I went into checks everyone for ID... I'm not sure if it's required that every store in the state do this but it tickled me to know end that my 40 year old road-trip buddy got carded buying booze.
I never get ID's around here, but every time I'm in the US I get carded. I'm 25, but if asked, many people think I'm under 18, apparently.
Its quite funny, i never get id'd ever cos i look way older than i am but everyone with me always does and they and couple of years older than me. It really annoys them!
