Well, on Monday the 29th of December, six EC members and two guests travelled along to Oxford for a little EC gathering. Paul_UK, Louise, Janvier, Ty, christian666 and myself (as well as Lottie (Louise's daughter/Janvier's Sister) and my Mom) all met at Oxford railway station by the coffee bar (me turning up rather late :lol and as soon as we had all arrived (and after moving our cars out of the short-stay car park) we were led by Ty into town. After a bit of a walk and some interesting and hilarious conversation, we ate at ASK Italian restaurant, which is where the photos below were taken (Thanks to my Mom for being the pseudo-cameraman ). My Mom then went off to do some shopping while the rest of us ate and talked (and drank ). We were there for a couple of hours and talked about all sorts of things, sometimes about EC and sometimes stuff that was non-EC related. Overall, it was really fun, really great to meet people, rather bizarre as well as I half expected everyone's avatars to pop up  Pictures can be found in this album: http://www.emptyclosets.com/forum/album.php?albumid=995
Yes, it was a great day! I really enjoyed meeting you all. It actually started out with me and Louise agreeing to meet up while she was in the UK for Christmas, and it grew from there.
It was fun Unfortunatly I think I drank more than was appropriate and might have seemed a bit silly sorry guys!
You are all horrible, horrible people and I am consumed with sadness and jealous envy. It's so crazy, though, seeing all these ECers in ONE PICTURE! It's going to rip the space-time continuum, man! D:
I wish I could have been there. Going to an EC meetup is something I probably will never be able to do, though...
I am so jealous... You all look fav, I'm happy for yous I guess I'll never actually meet ANY of you, amazing people. That's sad, and makes me envy all of you! and makes me be angry at those who have the opportunity and wont take it!
Yes, and by PM so the place and time are not posted online in advance. At least one of the mods organising it should attend too. This one came about by chance really. Me and Louise agreed to meet up while she was in the UK for Christmas, Janvier and Ty also wanted to meet up and since Ty lives in Oxford that was a sensible place that we could all get to. We then invited Holly and Martin to join us, but Martin couldn't because of the train cost. We are going to try to do it again next time Louise is in the UK, maybe in Birmingham so it's easier for Martin to attend. If we have more time to organise it we'll probably see if we can invite a few more UK members to attend.
