Re: Facebook/ Myspace Status Mine's blank. Always been blank since i made it, i'm thinking of changing it tho
Re: Facebook/ Myspace Status Mine says I'm straight, which is sort of true part of the time, but I might just leave it blank from now on.
Re: Facebook/ Myspace Status It's blank, but the whole relationship thing isn't taken serious on facebook, with most of the girls 'married' to their best friend etc. Still, i haven't lied.
Re: Facebook/ Myspace Status Orientation: Gay (Myspace) Interested in men (Facebook) I don't feel like being dishonest with my own friends, and making it blank is just a shy way of saying you're gay/bi.
Re: Facebook/ Myspace Status How many people actually go and look at the profile for that anyway.... Well maybe a few. Mines blank, but nobody has ever asked me.
Re: Facebook/ Myspace Status I have mine set as straight...I'm too chicken since not all my friends are actually my friends and some may not be the nicest about it...
Re: Facebook/ Myspace Status Interested in: Men. I had it blank for a while, but decided that people might as well know, one way or the other. I mean, I'm really not that "gay-acting" so no one would ever guess that I'm gay unless I told them (or unless they put "guy isn't married" + "guy doesn't have a girlfriend" + "guy doesn't seem interested in women" together!).
Re: Facebook/ Myspace Status My Myspace has now been changed but I'm still a little worried about my Facebook as I have business partners and professional contacts there. So, that one will take a little longer.
Re: Facebook/ Myspace Status My facebook has said 'interested in women' for about a year and no one's really noticed it. I nearly changed it to blank the other day though because my cousin added me (i'm not out to anyone in the family yet) but then thought what's the point? She's got to know at some point so I just left my status as it is.
Re: Facebook/ Myspace Status Mine's honest. Not too many people ask about it, but when they do and I verify it, they just say "Oh"
Re: Facebook/ Myspace Status My myspace page is mainly for work (believe it or not), so I had it blank for a couple months. Not because I was worried, but because I didn't think it had anything to do with my job. But then I started feeling like I was "lying", so I switched to it to "gay". Nobody cared - not even the born-again Christians. Although ALL my ads on myspace are now "meet hot gay men in your area" types. Apparently, myspace can see "gay" but can't see "in a relationship"... Facebook has been "gay" since I signed up. Lex
Re: Facebook/ Myspace Status Mine says interested in men, so it tells the truth Heh, once in a while I'll get a random message like "You're gay?!" And then I have to laugh at them cause it's not like I'm the manliest member of the gsa or something.
Re: Facebook/ Myspace Status Mine is blank, although I have an amusing story about it. When I started grad school, I was Facebook-married to a friend from high school. My college roommate had also gotten married over the summer, so my profile picture was with me in a tux and her in her wedding dress. Thus, everyone thought I was married. I promptly Facebook-divorced my friend, and changed it to being blank.
Re: Facebook/ Myspace Status I would like to change mine, but I have lots of family on there that I don't feel like telling yet.
Re: Facebook/ Myspace Status i plan on coming out on facebook after school ends (which is like, in a week.) i wanna b out in the open when college starts
Re: Facebook/ Myspace Status Originally mine said "Interested in Women", because I was afraid that people would ask if I didn't put that. Then once I became more self-confident in my sexuality, I took it off. Honestly, I could care less what other people think but I need to tell my middle sister first because she is a facebook stalker (she asked me about these "crazy" secularist groups I was joining) and she would most probably tell my parents. My mom and aunt are blocked because I feel like I can't be open with them about my life since they don't really know me. I CANNOT WAIT until the day I'm out to my parents and I can just stick it to people who assume I'm straight and make a stupid joke about GIRLS or a dumb comment about me not having a girlfriend and I can reply "...Too bad I'm gay" or "I like boys" or eventually when it happens I can avoid the whole girlfriend comment because they will know I have a boyfriend. It will also be a lot of fun to be honest about myself on facebook and if people aren't ok with it, then maybe they shouldn't be my "friend". :icon_bigg Ohhh...and there is this guy that I had a HUGE crush on. He's in Tennessee, and at college, so a LONG WAYS AWAY and he's also super-christian, but anyway he removed "interested in Women" a while ago, and just other things not common among Tennessee males (he's not a redneck, great fashion sense and he drives a VW bug) make me wonder. But it could go both ways, maybe he just doesn't have a complex about his sexuality and is straight.
