We would all agree that Madonna is sensational and a mistress at reinvention; however, this lady never had to go to the crowd, because the crowd came to her. She is very simple, humorous, beautiful and gives the best live performances in vocal the world has ever known. Ladies and Gentlemen, i propose a toast to Celein Dion's new album "Taking Chances" see below for live performance of a track from the album.
that's ok. prove to me anyone else who can be better than Celine Dion at live performances and i will feel better
Dude, I can't PROVE to you that someone's better. I can throw up two, ten, twenty artists who I think beat Celine to a pulp, and all you'll need to say is "Nope - Celine's better". Arguing over who the best singer is is like arguing what the best color is. You like Celine. Cool. I like other people. Hopefully, that's cool, too. Lex
Christina Aguilera FTW. (for the win) Just check her Live and Down Under DVD (it was shot during her tour, the concert location is Aldelaide or something like that, in Australia. YAY Aussies!!!) (btw, she was pregnant while shooting that show, so it was harder for her) (The freaking back-up dancers are so damn hot)
Totally agree My opinion is that while Celine Dion is a great singer, her concerts would bore the crap out of me, while Christina Aguilera is a phenomenal singer (although sometimes over sings stuff) and her concerts would be fantastic
Embarrassing moment -- when I was younger, about 8 years old, I used to sing Celine Dion's songs to my family .... it's so obvious I'm gay!
I loved Celine's, Madonna's and Cher's song when I was a teenager too. It just rocks my world! Uh,.. is it another indicator as well?
Édith Piaf, Luciano Pavarotti, Whitney Houston, Freddy Mercury, Andrea Botcelli and (of course) Micheal Jackson sing better than Céline Dion (for me anyway). She is an awesome singer obviously but not the best.
There is nothing like the best singer, it is all a matter of opinion. For example the winner of Danish X-factor i cant stand his voice. But alot of other people did, which is why he won.
Celine Dion almost always swings for the fences. That's fine, if the song demands it. But one of the problems with American Idol et al is that it has people thinking that that's what singers are supposed to do. Swing for the fences, go for the money notes, and hit the back aisle. No. Kate Bush isn't the best singer around. And she certainly isn't aiming for the back row here. Some lyrics, like her last "Don't give up...please, don't give up" could hardly be any quieter. A few years later, Peter Gabriel had Paula Cole on tour with him, and she took the female lead on this song. Much clearer, much stronger. Nailed every note. And it's all wrong. This isn't a Broadway musical. It's a pop song. A song about feeling crushed, feeling you can't go on, and the thought that you CAN'T give up. You HAVE to keep going. Paula Cole sounds like the voice of reason. Kate Bush sounds like a human being. Like someone who really does understand. I hear Paula Cole's version, and I notice her singing style. I hear Kate Bush's version, and I feel like I've been punched in the gut. Paula Cole got the notes right. Kate Bush got the song right. Lex
