do you guys know which celebs are strongly for Gay rights and strongly against. I've always wondered. Like Oprah, is she for or against?
Oprah is definitely for gay rights. She does alot on her show to educate the public about homosexuality.
Yeah, i saw an episode speaking to a married transgender guy-turned-girl talking about acceptance issues and how it's affected their kids and stuff. It's good when high-profile celebrities get on board, as it educates others who normally wouldn't seek the information themselves. Also: where would we be without the openly gay and proud of it Ian McKellan? =D (Gandalf in Lord of the Rings, the polar bear in Golden Compass, Magneto in X-Men, etc)
Oh yeah, and Ellen DeGenares (or however you spell it), the host of the competing talk show Ellen is openly lesbian and she's awesome - great sense of humour and fun.
Sarah McLachlan is straight, married with two kids (I believe it's two...) and she's very pro-gay. Elton John is gay, and was actually granted knighted by the queen. I know that I know more. >.< But I can't think of any more. My brain isn't working today.
Yeah, he is pretty much my hero... lol He plays the COOLEST roles! haha *cough* Sir Elton John *cough*
My favorite band, Rammstein are very pro-gay. One of their best songs (IMO) is about the good and bad of being gay.
Jodie Foster, came out as a lesbian, along with her partner, can't remember her name, sorry... Anyone know about Celine Dion? I'd imagine she'd be for gay rights.
You and your Celine Dion *shakes head* I think Britain's answer to Oprah (well, sorta), Jeremy Kyle is pro-gay, as shown below in his confrontation with Westboro Baptist Church; Part 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l9Mta3zdavM Part 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FPB1q77Has4&feature=related Part 3: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9k2vlELfmnc&feature=related
AHA I found something!! http://www.mrsardonic.com/2008/01/celine-dion-ace.html So Celine Dion is ok with gay people...good.
Ian McKellan has been a gay icon for ages! =O And Jerr - while you corrected the SIR Elton John, it's also SIR Ian McKellan. =P
Wow, not only did I forget that part but "granted knighted"? I think I have some sort of brain fungus.
