Straight actors playing gay roles

    I think that straight/cis actors should be able to play L.G.B.T. roles if they are respectful of what we go through. They shouldn't play the part based on the media's stereotypes. If they are the best person to play the role, then they should play it. But Scarlett Johansson shouldn't have played a trans man. That was unnecessary and gross.

    Those are rich roles on every level for any actors .

    i love NPK when he plays straight !

    Quite frankly I think the notion is ridiculous and I'm disappointed in RTD in supporting such ideas. The whole point of acting is that you portray people who have had different experiences from you - otherwise it's not acting!

    It will lead to a ghetto for LGTB actors and that cannot be a good thing for any of us.
