    Hi,
This seems like a really obvious question but I can't find a definitive answer anywhere online and was hoping someone more tech-savvy could help me out!: If I buy Microsoft Office Home and Student (the one-time installation option, not Office 365) and subsequently decide to replace my laptop, can I (legitimately) transfer Office to a new PC or is the software permanently attached to a single computer?

I think it's possible to just re-download it from the Microsoft Website if you do replace your laptop just log in with your microsoft account, look for purchases and it should be there ready to download again
