I saw an social media an video where they said that an 16 gay guy killed by his father.I saw many comments that many people find that correct what he did.He got respect from many sides. Is this an normal straight behaviour because iam shocked that cant be normal.
Acceptable and normal? No. Common in some Muslim countries? Sadly, yes. There are some areas of the world where ‘honor killings’ are considered a justifiable reason for killing someone. It’s barbaric by our standards, but acceptable to many in those places.
To add to what Chip mentioned, every year LGBTQ+ people flee their country because of persecution and living in constant fear of being jailed or killed if found out that they are not straight. Very sadly, in a number of countries, it is illegal to be seen in any romantic relationship with the same gender. Depending on who and from where they posted it as well as who is responding, it is possible to get the comments you have read. However, keep in mind when reading comments, usually people who agree with what was posted (and usually it doesn't matter what it is) will be the majority responding and agreeing. Sometimes it is good, not to read the comments. It can save one from a lot of stress and concerns.
