I'm a Semi-Traditional, Semi-Orthodox Hindu. I like to follow certain customs and traditions of my religion and have selected beliefs.

I'm a quasi-christian. I believe in Jesus and other people, but not God. . I use science and modern day logic to explain 'miracles'. I also like to re-interpretate passages of the Bible if I see an alternate explanation. E.G. Levictus 20:13 is about hierarchies and how men [but now all humans] should all be equal and should all be allowed to know the truth.

I took one thing I learnt from Satanism that says ''Some believe that Lucifer walked Earth'' and therefore believe that Earth is Hell. As I believe 'God' and 'Devil' are inside of us, in the form we call 'good' and 'evil'. I think Eden fell from us and became Hell, rather than us fall from Eden. This isn't very logical, I know, but it's my way of explaining why bad things happen.

I have my own religion. Yeah, seriously I have an elaborate system of spiritual ideas that are all my own ideas. I also feel that I can say with certainty that my ideas are completely and 100% correct, because there is fluidity in the concepts that encompasses all beliefs. In effect, I believe in all religions and none of them at the same time.

I'm Buddhist in belief (usually) but I believe all religions have value and that they're all right in their own way. Pantheistic?
I'm a lot of "pan" things.

I'm curious about your beliefs, threadstarter. PM me?

I'm an atheist. I don't believe that anyone has an ulterior motive or plan for us, and I think that people use religion as a tool to cope with the unpredictability of life purely to serve as a comfort for our lack of control over what happens to us. I don't believe that we have a particular fate or destiny; I think that each choice we make could never be inevitable and that every day you are faced with tiny choices that will affect the outcome of tiny things at a time. I don't believe that there's any God that has planned out any intricate map through life for us. Life is in your control, and not, all at the same time. Your life also depends in every other persons, like dominoes. You don't know what choices could be altered by someone you don't even know exists. I only believe in fate, in a sense, in death. I think that that's a fixed point, an inevitability. But maybe not.

I believe that you shouldn't need religion to do the right thing. Most people look to religion for moral values, but I think that if it harms someone, you shouldn't do it. Help people who need it. Because you're a human with a sense of morality, not because a God told you to.

    So yeah. Non religious.

I was a Christian, but then I met science, now I'm an Atheist.
Also due to the things in the Bible about LGBT+
If "God" doesn't like LGBT+ people, then why does he make people like it, plus there is a lot of loopholes written in the Bible, I mean, how could they wrote the Genesis if paper wasn't invented yet, etc.
Also there are so much gods, who knows which one of the thousands is the correct one?
    So yeah...

I have strong feelings about morality. I have no religious feelings. My life and behavior and morality wouldn't change if God existed or not. I've been told the word for this is "apatheism." But I don't really like that word because so many people think it means apathy about morality too...it doesn't.

I don't really like the word "atheism" either because some people think that means "a strong belief that God doesn't exist." A lot of atheists describe atheism as "the absence of belief in God" which is a subtle but important difference. I suppose that definition fits me, but again I'm not a fan of the word because so many people assume that it is an important topic to you if you call yourself an atheist. The only place religion has on my "list of important things" is "why do people from different religions keep hating and killing each other and how can we stop it?"

*looked into satanism and I actually think its ideals are what my own personal religious views were essentially lacking* So. buddhist, satanist, pagan, agnostic, muslim, baptized episcopalian.
I pick and choose. It's really about personal beliefs and I'm VERY much a believer in the statement made by Socrates:

"I must be the wisest man alive for I know that I know nothing."

It's PERSONAL and it's not something I expect to give to other people.

I was kinda interested in that religion for a bit! But I decided it wasn't for me :/

I was raised Muslim, but my mom and sisters are de facto Christian, my dad is Muslim. And I identify with Islam more, even though I hAve some doubts about my faith...I'm open to all faiths and beliefs though!

I've looked into pretty much every religion at one point, by the way.

Yeesh... I'll try to condense this into the basicness of basics. If that makes any sense.

    Philosophy/Christianity/Agnosticness/Everything.

    Okay now for the explanation.

Philosophy: That's not a religion, merely my reasoning that since I don't know if this is the real world, there is a 50/50 chance (leaving debate about "real" out) that this is the real world, meaning that if this isn't, then I currently have no idea what the real world is like, so I have nothing to base any sort of belief on. Whew!

Christianity/Agnosticness/Everything: Basically, I am not sure what there is, but I know that there is something up there (If this is real), but to me it seems that Christianity has many answers, albeit often in a metaphorical form. But, I have yet to see something other than a manual that has the answers to everything about the subject in full truth. Why should that exclude religion?

P.S. BTW I wish people would do their research on translations of the bible, and they could find that EVERY SINGLE mention of homosexuality being wrong is a mistranslation. Such as "soft" being translated into "homosexual" or "do this certain ritual of some ancient religion that INVOLVED some homosexual stuff" being translated into "a man who has sex with a man". Enough with my rant now.
