Favourite LGBT singers/bands?

    Hey everyone, I was just wondering if anybody had any LGBT singers/bands they like? My favourites are: Hayley Kiyoko, FLETCHER, King Princess, girl in red and Lauren Sanderson. I love their music!

    There are a few other LGBT artists whose songs I like: girli, Clairo, Kailee Morgue, Halsey, Mary Lambert, Holly Miranda, Gia Woods, Beatrice Eli and Kehlani.

    Some of my favourite LGBT themed songs are:
    Girls like Girls, Curious, Sleepover, He’ll never love you (HNLY), I wish, Gravel to Tempo and chance - Hayley Kiyoko

    girls, i wanna be your girlfriend, say anything, two queens in a king size bed and we fell in love in october - girl in red

    Holy, 1950, Hit the Back, Cursed and Upper West Side - King Princess

    often, better than your bf, WET, QUEEN BEE and The Only One - Lauren Sanderson

    And some random ones: more than a friend (girli), honey (halsey), she keeps me warm (mary lambert), all i want is to be your girl (holly miranda), all the things she said (tatu), sofia (clairo), pretty girl (clairo), girls (beatrice eli) and only a girl (gia woods).

    These are all wlw songs! But I would love to hear what everyone else likes sorry for the long post!

    Sam Smith because of their song Fire on Fire. I think the lyrics reflect a certain aspect of being LGBT but in a wholesome way. Even if that was not Sam Smith’s intention with the song.

    I have never heard that song but I have always admired them for how open they have been and the fact they can pull off any outfit they wear! What aspect of being LGBTQ+ did their song reflect? I will give it a listen in a minute because I’m curious now!

    He‘s not a singer but a composer and he never wrote about being homosexual, but my favorite is Tchaikovsky. He wrote some of my favorite piece of music (Slavonic Marche and Pas De Deux).

    Being in love with someone the same gender as you when other people say it’s a sin, but you don’t care about that and choose the person you love. That’s my interpretation of the song.

    Benjamin Britten - English classical musician out as gay when homosexuality was still illegal in England. I especially like the Ceremony of Carols

    Art Garfunkel of Simon and Garfunkel and solo career - came out as bisexual in his autobiography a few years ago

    Anika Moa I love her music a lot. From New Zealand. Father is Māori and mother is of English descent. Lesbian

    Judy Small Australian musician. I like her music a lot. My favorite song of hers is Let the Rainbow Shine. Lesbian

    St. Vincent is so ridiculously good. I lucked into Coachella tickets the year that Strange Mercy came out, and she was one of the artists I walked away a fan of. I proposed to my wife on the way to see St. Vincent play in Brooklyn with David Byrne on the Love This Giant tour (she said yes and the show was amazing). She's the only artist who I will absolutely drop everything get tickets to see if she's anywhere close.

    Oh I love Self esteem and Girl in Red.
    Self esteem is a woman called Rebecca (I think) and she’s openly bisexual. Her songs are more about being a strong feminist than anything else. Girl in Red singer, I can’t remember her name but her songs are beautiful, I love singing them so loudly when I’m driving the car.
