Hi there, mobius5. Like I said it's probably just me..I had "queer" used negatively against me growing up but a lot of us did so I should probably just let it go. I don't like to use that word unless someone tells me that's their identity. Some of my friends use it a positive manner too though. "Cheers, queers" is a fave way to toast our next round at a gay bar for some of my friends.

That particular F-word I have never heard in a friendly manner, ever. Hurled from the window of a passing SUV seems to be a favorite application in my town, usually just bored, joy-riding teenagers. I do know the archaic definition and I've heard the stories about how back in the Middle Ages the witches got a stake, but people like us got treated like the other bundles of sticks. Unpleasant. I don't know if that is true or not, but either way I'm glad I live in present times.

I actually really like pizza, but unfortunately I am allergic to tomato and it gives me a bad stomach ache that can last for several hours if I try to eat it. So as a work-around, I have cheesy garlic bread with some herbs instead and perhaps additional toppings. It's basically the same except without the tomato. It's an unfortunate allergy, because tomato is a common ingredient in plenty of dishes. Still, cheesy garlic bread is good (in my opinion).

Anyway, my unpopular opinion is that clubs and nightclubs are highly overrated. What's the appeal supposed to be? I can't hear what people are saying, I don't know when I'm supposed to be dancing, what are we supposed to be doing? Am I supposed to be experiencing an adrenaline rush or something? Everyone is cheering for some reason? What's that about? The whole experience just leaves me overwhelmed, confused, and I just don't get it at all.

However, contemporary bars on the other hand are a better atmosphere. I wish there were more casual hang out spaces like that. Also, I don't understand the appeal of drag shows either. I went to one once and everyone was losing their minds when the performer walked on stage. However, I wasn't particularly moved one way or the other by the show, I just felt out of place and bored.

Mmm, well after today another unpopular opinion is that a lot of older generation people have little no respect (exceptions to the rule of course).

When I worked in customer service, the boomer generation complained the most and treated me the worst. Now again that’s not the entire generation, but the majority of rude customers were them.

Filming people in public has become accepted and normalized. But it's rude af.

I can definitely agree to this in my experience. To be fair to them (though some of them may not deserve it...) they went through a whirlwind of change in the world and saw basically the almost if not total collapse of their political, economic and social world for better and worse. I imagine it takes a huge amount of wisdom courage and compassion to come through that and not be a grumpy ***hole.

Maybe not unpopular but difficult: once you've lost someone's respect, or never had it, a person will most likely never get it back.

Doctors don’t know how to deliver bad news. Best case scenario according to the doctor is that brain forgets my right eye exists since it keeps going off to the side. Best case is blind in one eye? Surgery to correct it might make it worse but what’s worse than blind? On the other hand my peripheral vision is fine and after pouring liquid fire in my eyes could tell I don’t have cataracts.

Thank you. I'm mostly logical and can think of so many possibilities. I overthink. I'm still accused of being black and white. It really is the emotional ones who hang onto some emotions too dearly and do an awful lot of black and white thinking.

I can't find the post where someone didn't like Tik Tok. I agree with that.

It's another way to lose a friendship. A friend of mine was working remotely in his overpaid position and would keep sending me them. I would watch some and it was taking too much of my time. I told him to dial it back.

After six months, he started up again. One morning, he sent me FOUR of them within an hour. The ones that annoyed me were stupid trashy ones about hillbillies. I told him again that I don't have time to look at that many Tik Toks. I got an "okay, sorry" from him and never heard from him again. I thought about it and realize I don't miss this friend.

Unpopular opinion (gonna get a lot of hate for this one)... it's acceptable to sing Christmas songs in October. There I said it :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:
