I got the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine and I'm waiting for the second. Got none of the dramatic after-effects, just a painful shoulder that got better the next day.

Oh, absolutely. There's no reason not to.

I've gotten both doses. My arm was sore and I was tired after the second dose. Otherwise, no problems. I'm essential as well as high risk. I had some reservations but did a lot of research and also was able to access confidential proprietary information about Pfizer and Moderna's vaccines. After all my research, I had no doubt that I made the right decision.

I got my second dose today. I got the Moderna vaccine. Working in a high risk group setting, this makes me have a lot less anxiety about getting covid.

I'm signed up for my first dose next week. This pandemic has about destroyed our economy and killed over half a million of us. It's my feeling we have a responsibility to step forward and minimize the spread even if the benefits/risks are not completely known. The virus is mutating and we need every tool we have to fight it.

Already had my first dose of AZ. Felt slightly feverish the evening I had it but no big deal. A couple of paracetamol sorted it out.

Hello All.....Just had my first dose of the Covid Vaccine. No symptoms of any kind so far. Scheduled for the second shot in two weeks. I sure hope we can get all of this under control and return to something like normal!

Update.....My left arm is just about useless today...I know, I'm a wimp! :old_er_what: I'm not used to injections in my arm. One of the few benefits of all of the back surgeries I've had is that I have large areas of my back and behind that are permanently numb. There's a spot on the right side of my butt that is totally numb and even has a small brown spot that can be used as a target! :old_big_grin: That's where I get all of my shots...except this one. It's been so long since I've had an injection in my arm that I've forgotten that they can be a little painful and can be sore for a few days afterward. So I've spent part of today being a crybaby. :old_frown: I guess it's not surprising that I've gotten absolutely no sympathy from anyone! So I thought I'd share my agony with all of my friends here on Empty Closets! Anyway. :old_rolleyes: I do hope that all of you have gotten or are getting a Covid vaccination as soon as possible. I know that there are many opinions about the virus...but for me it's very real as we lost my wife's mother to it.

I just got signed up for my appointment, and I am excited!

I should add I have confidence in the science and clinical trials. Someone on TV had some good advice: don’t get the vaccine until you have your questions answered. I’m fortunate to have experience as a biochemist to understand the sometimes complicated data, so if anyone does have questions, feel free to post here.

We're not to get the vaccines anytime soon. It's deliberate to prevent more street protests. The senior officials already got their vaccines as they confidently come close to each other, despite the earlier months.

But I'm happy the death tolls are being reduced in the western countries and Israel, after vaccination started. So, I am not to hear our ISIS' celebration on the bad news everyday. They can go to hell.

Yes, i will probably want to be vaccinated. My friend doctor told me, that we have no choice but to be vaccinated.

No. I don't get sick of viruses, even the new mutations (never had flu for example, even though it mutated every year and I tend to be in the middle of an epidemic, being one of two or three people unaffected). Therefore, I see no point. Give it to someone with lower immune system, they will need it more.

I have a relative like that. I don’t think she’s ever had the flu. She was exposed to people with Covid on three separate occasions. Never got sick, always came back negative, and even had the antibody test that came back negative. She got the vaccine and was super sick after getting it. She had every side effect of the vaccine. I think she was immune to the virus and that’s why she never caught it and reacted so badly to the vaccine.

I got the J&J vaccine the Friday before last through my work (I work in a grocery store, therefore I'm classified as an essential worker). I would've preferred one of the two-dose ones for the slightly better immunity but no way was I passing up an opportunity to get vaccinated.

I had my second dose yesterday and besides a painful arm, all seems fine.

I got a “I’ve had my Covid vaccine” sticker too.
