Oh wow. This year. It's...been incredibly disappointing and anxiety inducing.

How do you rate 2020 on a scale of 1 to 10 (1 being the worst and 10 being the best)?

3 / 10. This is not how I wanted my final year of University to go.

Will you still be on EC this time next year?

    Maybe. No promises though.

    How were relationships with boyfriends/girlfriends?

Well, I ended up being ghosted. I thought things were going well but apparently not. Anyway, I've been talking to someone else lately, but I'm trying not to get my hopes up about it.

Did you make any new years resolutions and if so, did you stick to them?

*Checks last year's thread* "I just want to work on general life skills, nothing specific just consistent steps".

    Hmm...I suppose.

What were the best and worst months of 2020 for you?

2020 was an absolute blur rather than months I can easily separate. I think that's what scares me the most, if anything this year has been a wake up call to how quickly life can pass you by and how your mind can become dull and disconnected. Add into the mix a relative with Alzheimer's and enter intrusive thoughts about becoming senile in my old years in the potential future...it has not been fun.

Are you making any new years resolutions for 2021? What do you hope will be different?

So, 2021 is going to be a year of significant change for me. I'm graduating University and (hopefully) finding a job. Further, my sister is moving out with her boyfriend and we'll be coming out of a global pandemic gradually. I want to take more photos to document 2021 because it sure is going to be eventful.

Did you do anything you never thought you would do?

I asked someone out on a date which is something I never thought I'd ever have the courage to do. Sure, it didn't go well but still...yay?

What is your happiest memory from the year?

I visited a waterfall and had a nice cake. That was nice.

Did you gain any new qualifications?

    I will May next year.

What was your most stupid incident?

Accidentally walking into a shop that only allowed three people at a time as the fourth person and promptly getting yelled at. I mistimed it, I thought the other person was about to leave and came in a bit too early.

    Favourite song/artist from the year?

Break My Heart - Dua Lipa seems most fitting.

What was the biggest change in your life this year?

Pft, what wasn't? I'd like this year to end now.

What did you do over the summer?

Turned 21 and celebrated in quarantine with my parents.

What news story sticks in your mind the most from 2020?

    Coronavirus, BLM protests.

AND OH OF COURSE THIS THING LOGS ME OUT, THANKS TO AN ERROR, PART WAY THROUGH FINISHING THIS THING. You know what? I'm done. I'm not writing that out again. Thanks 2020.

I wouldn't say 2020 was the worst year of my life, but it was pretty pants to be honest. Due to Covid19 I had to give up a few things that bring me into contact with lots of people from different households and I can only liken that to cutting the chains to my anchors. I never really thought of myself as a "people person" until this last year, but I now realise how much I need and enjoy the company of other people. I am hoping that the rollout of Covid19 vaccines will allow me to gather up my anchor chains again in the second half of 2021. Until then, it may be necessary to dig a bit deeper.
