Oh my god I'm such a creeper. I totally just read a 9 page conversation between two people I've never even met or seen before. They would think i'm so weird if I told them. Ahaha.

I don't mind Lady Gaga and her music, but Born This Way shits me more than a little. The song is reasonably good music, the deeper message is ok, but the way she goes about that message, I hate it. Yes, people should accept themselves, but the "THIS IS A GAY ANTHEM" sound and lyrics feel more than a little trite and excessively blunt. It shoves the message down your throat back with a pounding 80s style backing. I don't think you can be much more blatant than the lyrics, "No matter gay straight or bi/lesbian, transgendered life/I'm on the right track". I'm sure many people like it because it specifically mentions their minority, but personally, I value subtlety a bit more than that. It just annoys me a bit how much people talk about this song being so amazing and the best GLBT song ever. What about the Is and the As and the Qs and every other letter you can tack onto the acronym? Why don't they deserve a mention? What about other marginalised groups? Actually, on second thoughts, the biggest aim of the song is to make money for her. If that was your career, you'd want to be successful too and blatant pandering works in the entertainment industry.

Kwik Trip should figure out that if they are not going to hire anyone,no matter how "qualified" they are because they have a criminal record no matter how minimal, that that should be the first question in the interview not the last!!!

That I'm really stupid!!! I invited friends for dinner who live quite far away and gave them awful directions which added about an hour onto their journey time!!! Cannot believe I got the junction on the motorway wrong by 10 junctions!!!! EPIC FAIL.

I wholeheartedly agree with you, The rest of the album is worse than that song though, sadly.

I wish there were a way to shut off emotions...I get too close to people, and they just end up hurting me, whether it's on purpose or inadvertently. :frowning2:

I actually don't enjoy her music and not a gaga fan by far, but I think we have been subtle and "hinting at it" for far too long. I don't always like what she does and how she does it, but she has been able to create this whole feeling for young people seeking a place to belong. Yes, might not be the best way at time, but how many artists are able to create that sort of community?

She has also made people aware of certain issues. It sometimes takes the obnoxiously loud people to get the other not so loud people to do something about it.

    Just my thoughts

While you can criticize Lady Gaga about many things, I think criticizing her for not mentioning every single gender identity, sexual orientation, or whatever is just plain silly. The song would never end.
