I only just found out that my school offers AP (it's pretty new), and I'll be a senior come fall. D:
But I plan on taking AP tests in French, Latin (hopefully), US Gov., World Hist., and English Lit.
Of course, I also want to take SAT IIs in French, Latin, and World too...

    AP Euro - 5

    Junior
    AP US Hist. - 5
    AP Biology - 3
    AP Calc AB - 3
    AP English - 4

    Senior

It was a complete information overload during my senior year, but hey, I cleared up a lot of the core classes already. Looking back on it now, I finally understand why I'm a History/English major.

I took AP Psych as a class.

I then took the AP Psych, English language, and Government tests, and got a 4, 5, and 3 respectively.

Mind that all that was in 1999 and 2000...

Wow, you guys took a lot of APs.

I wish I took more so I would have more college credits. I was supposed to take APUSH but the teacher that offered it was insane with her work, so I had to back out of it.

Our school only offered Calculus 1 in AP, and I took it twice (because the first time we didn't get to integrals and I wanted to learn them). I totally bombed the exam though, heh. It did make taking it in college a breeze, though.

In addition, we did have some dual-credit courses through our community college that, as the name suggests, counted toward both our high school requirements and college requirements. With it, I took both general education English classes, Introduction to Psychology, and Introduction to Philosophy, all of which I made A's in. I'm actually really thankful for those because that's four 4.0's that got factored into my overall grade (which is giving me a 3.45 instead of a 3.28 ^_^).

  7. My school does the complete IB Diploma programme, so APs aren't offered. Here are my classes, though.

    Higher Level
    Biology
    Spanish B
    West Asian History

    Standard Level
    Maths Standard
    English A1
    Music

Even though I passed all my Junior APs and if I pass all my Senior APs, I would only get college credit for AP Chem and AP BC Calc... It was basically a waste of money for me...

Well, where I live we don't have AP courses. I don't even know what the function of an AP course is. XD
We have college levels, mid-levels and University levels, and I took mid-level World History (for fun) and Anthropology (because it's only offered at mid-level), and everything else (Biology, French, English, Canadian History and Data Management) at University level.

AP stands for Advanced Placement. Many US high schools offer optional special, tougher sections of many classes to prepare students for AP tests, which are tests offered by a national firm for a nominal fee. Many colleges and universities will give students credit in an equivalent class for a passing score, which is at least a 3 on a scale of 1 to 5. For example, I started university with 10 credits. Because I passed the Psychology, English language, and US Government AP tests, my university gave me credit for Psych 150, English 150, and whatever the freshman-level basic political science class was called.

    AP Stats (5)
AP Computer Sci (didn't take exam)
    AP Chem (5)

It's been a long time, so my memory is foggy on a few of the scores...

i've only taken AP american history but i'm a sophmore, it was the only course available.

next year I'm taking ap euro [i'm not taking ap lit&comp. i suck at writing and that class would just be a frustration]

senior year if things go to plan i should be taking ap political science, ap calc, and ap physics.

assuming i don't bomb next year.

Yeah... I took AP Calculus my senior year of high school.

I shouldn't say I took it, more correctly I attended it. I had a terminal case of short timers syndrome, so I pretty much phoned it in that year.

    German 4-AP - 3

That's all. I didn't usually do all my homework, so I rarely had the grades to get into advanced classes. Which was fine with me, I liked German though.

Taking IB next year, so apparantly im gonna die. painfully.

Higher maths, economics and french, standard psychology, english and biology/physics.

  20. Don't worry too much. Yes, the IB is difficult, but it's not "AAAAAHHHH! I'M DYING" difficult. At the moment, I'm managing five 7s and one 6, and I still have a life. It looks like you've chosen a balanced course-load, so I'm sure you'll be fine.
