The Amber Spyglass by Philip Pullman.
It's a children's book but I highly recommend it! There's a lot of complex ideas in it, like, about the universe, life and death, etc. It's a book written by an atheist and full of positive atheist ideals.

Right now I'm reading A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara, and I'm not very far into it but so far it's really well-written. The author creates this really emotionally intense relationship between her characters and the reader.

I finished The Color Purple by Alice Walker today. Absolutely loved it. My first time reading it all the way through and only regret not finishing it the first time.

Heart of Darkness, by Joseph Conrad. Good, but grim.

The Neverending Story, by Michael Ende (again. I read it when I was 11. Then I found it a few days ago.)

Just finished The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini for the second time, and now I'm a wreck for the second time. Just reminded me why it's my favourite novel.

The Secret Diary of Billy Chase (I'm in book two of the series). By Comicality. Hilarious, poignant, sad, happy, intense, angst filled, suspenseful. Some explicit sexual language. Well written, it will take you back to your teenage years if you're an older person, or perhaps reflect on the present if you're a teen. Highly recommended. A page turner that can be read in short sessions and come back to.
