Like is this common/normal or do most bi folks select everyone?

But anyways, your settings on an app don't decide your orientation. If you're attracted to men and women, but only want one or the other to appear among your options for whatever reason, that's fine.

I don't know if it's common, but I'd say it doesn't make them less bi. In my personal experience, when I was seeking a sapphic experience (my husband's suggestion), I of course only selected women on dating apps. I was looking for an experience I hadn't had the privilege of engaging in, after all, so it made sense.

I imagine any other bisexuals who do so or have done so have a myriad of reasons behind it.

In sum, results may vary. While others are looking for love in whatever package it might come in, others are seeking something a little more specific. Both sets are equally bisexual regardless.
