This isn't exactly a response to coming out, as I was out to this particular group of friends, but I guess this guy didn't get the memo.

    Basically:

Me: I have a crush on one of our mutual friends.
    Him: Tell me who?
Me: No...I really don't want to.
Him: Common, I promise I won't tell him.
    Me: It's...it's not a him.
    Him: But Kat, you're straight.
    Me: *thinking* wtf? *saying*...No?
    Him: Yes, you are.
    Me: Wtf no I'm not.
    Him: Whaaat?
Him: K, well your crush better not be *insert name here*
    Me: It's not. -_-

When I first came out to my friend, I sort of had to explain genderfluidity to him. So I said, "Depending on the day, I could be a guy, a girl, bigender, agender..."

He looked extremely shocked. And then he said, "What do you mean you can turn Asian?"

He misheard me saying 'agender'... But it was hilarious!

    Me: I'm transgender
    M: Okay
    K: What's transgender?
Me: I'm a boy in a girls body
    K: Okay
M: Seriously? (<--- cause we got some running gags like that)
    Me: Yeah
    *the next day*
J (who got told the whole coming out by M): We decided to call you Bruce till you are 100% sure how we shall call you
Me: I can't even pronounce that!
    *around a week later*
J2 (who noticed that my pronouns changed): You're a guy.
    Me: Yes
    J2: You're called Bruce.
    Me: So far, yes.
My best friend: Nothing against it, but Bruce is a terrible Name
Me: I know. And I still can't pronounce it.

Anyways, I'm still Bruce xD okay in fact I know I'm Aleksander/Sascha but I love their way of dealing with me being trans*. (May it sounds like they're just joking but they're all pretty caring and interested in how I feel and what to do to help me )

I have gotten so really funny responses once I became comfortable with my sexuality and came out to a lot of my straight friends. They did not believe me and since I had the reputation of being a joker as well as a prankster. It took awhile for them to believe and comprehend with the fact that I was actually telling the truth. It was funny later on because most of their mouths dropped wide open in disbelief and some while out in a club or drinking at one of their homes would dropped their drinks on the floor in shock. Then there was of course some who gave the stereotypical response such as; "you do not act like a gay guy" or "why you never made a pass at me or did you ever want to get with me or see me naked???? There were a lot of other incidents/remarks that I prefer to keep to myself...but all in all...you get the point.

So 3 freinds and I hit up a dance club on Friday. I pre-game a little too hard with some tequila on an empty stomach and buy a few shots of vodka when I get there. This was my second time getting drunk, so needles to say, I was smashed. I'm dancing like the world is ending, and I notice a blonde boy (my kryptonite) wearing nothing but sparkly briefs. I was too drunk to remember that i didn't want my freinds to know I like men, so I start grinding on this dude and we get really into it.

The next thing I remember is being outside banging my head against a table because I'm mad at myself for letting everyone find out. Luckily there was a nice group of lesbian chicks who came over to comfort me. We took lots of pictures together and took turns feeling each other's bare stomachs. I have no recollection as to why we did this. Anyway, I digress.

So some stuff goes down that I don't remember happening (including trying to start a fight because some guy wouldn't give me his beer) and we all eventually end up in my freinds' car because I'm getting a little rowdy. We are all ignoring the elephant in the room and I say "uh... did you guys se me....?" and my freind J who is also hammered blurts out, "you like penis?" "Uh, yeah" "ok cool"

I knew they wouldn't care that much but it was nerve wracking since nobody knew. There will be a day when i can dirty dance with boys sober but it is not this day I guess :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

I've got some funny ones. Most of mine are rather boring. The funniest ones were later on between people who already knew:
There was one time I was talking to one of my friends on the bus. This one girl who I barely knew ended up talking to us:
Her: I bet you get all the ladies.
    Me: Actually, I'm gay.
    Her: You're gay?!
(She was so loud, I thought the entire bus heard her)
Her: I have a gay best friend now!
Later she tried hooking me up with this one boy who I didn't know. I honestly don't even know what his name was.

Probably the funniest was when I came out to some of my friends who I was sure already knew I was gay. I'm not going to put their actual names here. So I'll just say C1, C2, A1, A2. C1 was playing some love song on his phone (C1 is transgender by the way).
C1: This is the song for that girl we all loved.
    Me: Not me. I'm gay.
A1: (Looks really surprised) You're gay?
Me: Oh my god, I thought I'd made it really clear.
A2 and C2 were playing ping pong so they didn't hear most of what we said.
    A2: Made what clear?
    Me: That I'm gay.
A2: We only pay attention like 12 percent of the time, if that.
What's even funnier is these people are all in GSA, so they should have known of all people.
It eventually became a running joke with me being the "token gay friend."

About a day later, me and C2 were playing a video game.
C2: I'm getting fucked in the ass.
Me: I like getting fucked in the ass.
    C2: I know.
Me: Just making sure. You guys keep forgetting that I'm gay.
C2: Wait? You really are gay?
Jesus, people. How many times do I have to tell you? And this has happened a few times. One kid I had to tell three times.

There's another time. Again I was playing video games. This time it was just me, A1 and A2.
    A2: Damn straight!
    Me: I'm not straight.
    A2: Shut up.
    A1: (she's bi) I'm only half straight.
Eventually we just started making "straight jokes"
    A2: Go straight that way.
Me: You know I can't do that.
    A1: Look at me straight.
Me: (looks at her and laughs)
A1: Whenever someone says that to me I always say "I can only look at you half-straight."
A2: That damn shell hit me straight in the face.
Me: It definitely wasn't me that threw it.
A1: Get back in the closet.

Another time was when we were again playing video games:
Me: (gets killed) You fucking cock!
A2: Why are you calling him something you like?
    Me: You fucking pussy!
    A2: That's better.

I joke a lot about religion and once I said:
Me: I'm probably going to hell.
A1: That's okay. You'll be there with all the other gay people, and you can have a party.
(We're both atheists by the way)

There was another time on the bus. This one kid was being annoying and touching people's hair. He started touching my hair and I turned around and said:
Stop it. Only my boyfriend is allowed to do that.
    He stopped.

One kid at lunch found out I was gay and started asking questions like "how would you react if the hottest woman in the world fucked you?"
It was rather uncomfortable to say the least.

I decided to come out to my brother in English because I thought it would be easier --> wrong

Me: Do you understand it if I tell you I'm gay?

Brother: looking up from his vocabulary* What? Can you please repeat that? I didn't understand it acustically.

Me: Ok f*uck bad idea, German or English, okay whatever, lets stick to English
    I am gay!

B: confused You are (the german word for gay, which in Germany is only used for males)?

M: Oh come on I really don't want to explain this.... *regretting everything*

B: So you are the opposite...?

M: Yeah I guess you could say so...

B: Aaaah I don't care. I also wouldn't care if you told me you are in love with [insert boy's name here]

M: Ähhh, but you did understand what I just told you, right?

B: Yes of course, but... oh. Not boy....

I just recently came out to one of my new coworkers at work. I just flat out told him that I was born female. It was funny watching his face after I told him that. It took a couple of seconds for him to really process it. So, he had a blank look on his face. Then he responded with "wow... I never would have had any idea, that's so cool!". He was very obvisouly is shock still. I knew he would be fine with it because we had had some conversations and he is a very open minded person. I figured that I should tell him before the client rumor mill told him (I work at a halfway house, so you can imagine that any info about staff is juicy gossip.)

Just got through all 1915 posts... Hi C... if you make it this far, anyway on with the epic but not so epic tale.
On the bus on the way home( it's a public bus coz the school is cheap :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: ) I'm sitting next to my friend (ftm) I go hey, umm yeah I'm not so sure im straight, we sit there in silence for a second or two then he goes, WOW why do people always come out to trans people first, really loudly so I look around franticly like plz be no one I know here then,I'm about to say "but you aren't the first person I told) when I think back to it and I'm like oh shit it was as well another ftm friend (who I had a crush on for years while they identified as a girl) anyway then I think back to something another friend said to me like "most twins have the same sexuality" (twin is mtf) I go " omg what if I'm trans and I haven't realised it yet" friend just goes " shut. The. Fuck. Up.

I came out to both of my closest friends. This was during lunchtime in school and after a year or so of contemplating whether I should tell them or not, I finally decided that it's time.

I ask them if they would step outside for a bit, because I needed to tell them something. Friend A then said ''What? are you coming out as bisexual/lesbian or something? haha!''

and that was meant to be a joke, but boy, was she in for a surprise. lol. I told them that yes, I'm actually coming out and the looks on their faces were hilarious. Hit them when they least expected it.

Last friday my mom was giving me a lift and while she was driving I just spurted out: "Mom I like women!" out of the blue. She got a shocked expression then bursted out laughing because of the way I came out to her. She then proceeded to tell me she always suspected it and that she wasn't that surprised about this, while laughing until we got home :joy:

While away at an international sporting event I was sharing an air b&b with a female fellow club member.

I told her that I was gay.
Her reaction was : "WHAT!!! Am I the last one in [club name] to know. ."
"No...." (look of relief on her face ) "... I was just outed to [name ] by my wife "
Her : "Let's see how long it takes the roumer mill to get it back"

I told my lesbian friend after awkwardly telling her that I knew about this one gay porn she and my other friend where talking about. I wanted to relieve myself of the pressure so badly that after she brought up that i must be "hella gay" i threw myself and told her i was (bisexual at the time). We both laughed at my panic. I felt jittery but was finally free from this secret. Later, during gym, she made a comment about our friend group's two vs two. I thought she meant gays (It was curly-haired) :laughing:vs blondes. I died. She did too when she realized what i meant.
